Job Description Summary

Responsible to execute continuous improvement projects and solution to complex repairs related to equipment's controls (hydraulic systems, pneumatics, electronics, PLC, software), also design and build devices for the automation of the manufacturing equipment, processes, and material handling. Leader of projects to repair or reconstruct machines, including material specifications, components, and mechanisms, also providing technical support and training to technicians. Design systems and new semiautomatic equipment for new products transfer projects and collaborate with R&D (Research and Development) and AME (Advanced Manufacturing Engineering) on automatic equipment development, writing user equipment specifications and acceptance testing (FAT/SAT) execution for equipment transference into manufacturing.

  • Develop designs and support on development of numerical programs to build dies, tooling, fixtures required on continuous improvement projects or for repair/upgrade manufacturing equipment.
  • Responsible for keeping the systems drawings (hydraulic, pneumatics, electrical, etc.) for repaired, upgraded, or new equipment within the company procedures and specifications.
  • Responsible for the execution of Mechatronics and Automation projects.
  • Modification to control systems (update) for improvements of equipment and machinery.
  • Keep control of production equipment technical software.
  • Programs PLC's and perform controlled changes to the programs (Programmable Logic Controllers)
  • Follow the local procedures and policies to keep updated the control of all plant PLC programs on the site and keep all equipment programs available (hard or electronic copies) under physical control.
  • Support Validation Engineering to determine critical quality parameters in electronic systems, and validation of software.
  • Implement updated control systems that comply with electrical and safety regulations.
  • Execute projects for equipment and production machines optimization.
  • Trains the maintenance personnel. Participates in work groups for continuous improvement.
  • Responsible for the execution of new products machinery and automation acceptance testing (FAT/SAT) for equipment transference into manufacturing

Follow up to safety activities, follow up 5's program, TPM, SMED, materials inventories, purchase orders, tolos, and utensils.

Career in Industrial Electronic Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Mechatronics, Industrial Design or similar preferably.

Experience on Automation, Electricity, Mechanics, Pneumatics, Electronics, PLC, RF, Ultrasonic Welding, Data Communication or Network preferably.

1-3 years minimum as Electronic Engineer or similar preferably.

Experience as Project Engineer within the medical industry preferably.

Experience in CAD and SolidWorks preferably.

Ability in the computer software applicable to his/her position.

Lean Six Sigma Green Belt preferably.

Language Skills: Upper Intermediate
