Summary:
This position will provide HR support to the Global In-House Engineering (GIE) team at BD in Bangalore, India. This person will be responsible for all aspects of human resources management including employee relations, performance management, compensation and benefits, recruiting, staffing, training, coaching, and development. They will also be involved in supporting organizational change and restructuring initiatives as needed. The ideal candidate should have experience working within an engineering organization or related field, preferably in a global setting. Strong interpersonal skills are required along with excellent communication abilities both written and verbal. Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite is essential while prior knowledge of Workday HRIS system would be beneficial but not mandatory.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide day-to-day support to employees regarding various HR issues/concerns/inquiries.
  • Manage employee data accurately and timely in our HRIS system (Workday).
  • Conduct New Employee Orientation sessions for new joiners.
  • Assist with onboarding process by coordinating with hiring managers to ensure timely completion of necessary paperwork.
  • Administer salary review process for employees.
  • Prepare monthly payroll reports for approval by senior management.
  • Coordinate and facilitate annual performance reviews.
  • Conduct exit interview process with departing employees.
  • Facilitate internal and external employee recognition programs.
  • Collaborate with Corporate Communications team to develop communications plans and strategies.
  • Support department's efforts to improve productivity through continuous improvement projects.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
  • Minimum five years of progressive HR generalist experience with a large multinational corporation.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to build relationships across all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple concurrent assignments and projects.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment highly desirable.
  • Fluent English language skills essential; additional languages such as Spanish, French, German, Italian, Chinese, Japanese, Arabic, etc., highly desirable.
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Advanced computer proficiency (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), advanced knowledge of MS Excel required.
