Job Description

The Global Integrated Engineering (GIE) program management leader is responsible to provide leadership and guidance to an international team of Program Managers (10) and have overall responsibility for the E2E management and governance of the Industrialization of GIE projects for the PS Business and drive project performance by ensuring the schedule, scope, and resources are in place to meet program goals while involving the necessary project and program leaders, team members and key stakeholders to succeed.

Reporting to the GIE Portfolio and Program Mgmt Leader based in the USA, the new joiner will lead the GIE Program Management governance model and ensure implementation across the business. Responsible for over $200 million CAPEX, this role will focus on standardising the PM process ensuring that projects will be delivered on time, on budget, and are strategically aligned to deliver multiple platform goals across the PS Business.

Additionally, this person will ensure the Governance model is executed by each team within the GIE through direct and/or dotted line functional management of PMO (Project Management Office) managers or project managers, facilitating that the Integrated Gate Review System (IGRS) phases are adhered to and deliverables are achieved.

Last but not least, this person will be the main point of contact with the BU and leading the BU updates, making portfolio recommendations, ensuring the entire platform leadership is aligned and committed to delivering the portfolio and results.

Responsibilities

  • Accountable for and manages projects from E2E, to increase harmonization and effective governance, resources, funding (CAPEX, OPEX) and on time completion.
  • Project types: Capacity, sustaining, compliance, safety, digitalization, architecture, NPD, CTW (Change to Win), crisis, retrofit, and facilities.
  • Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, objectives, timelines, budgets resource allocation, to ensure successful integration of NPD and CAPEX initiatives.
  • Manage and is responsible for project stakeholders, ensuring effective communication/ collaboration throughout project lifecycle.
  • Lead collaboration among cross-functional teams (i.e., engineering, finance, manufacturing, procurement) to ensure seamless integration NPD/CAPEX initiatives.
  • Accountable, control, and monitor and control project budgets, ensuring that capital expenditures are optimized and managed effectively.
  • Responsible for, track and evaluate project performance using KPIs and other metrics, adjusting plans and strategies as needed to achieve project goals.
  • Coordinate activities in case of changes in project scope, schedule, costs, ensuring that stakeholders are informed/aligned with changes.
  • Lead sharing of best practices and lessons learned among team members across organization to drive CI in DFMA/CAPEX integration projects.
  • Create, responsible, and prepare and present regular progress reports to senior management stakeholders, highlighting project status achievements challenges opportunities for improvement.
  • Research and evaluate new project management technologies/solutions that can enhance industrialization initiatives/optimize CAPEX investments.

Qualifications

  • Fluency in French is a plus.

Experience/Education

  • Minimum Education: B.S. in Engineering (Mechanical Engineering preferred). MBA or MS in Engineering is preferred.
  • Successful record of accomplishment in Lean manufacturing. PMP certification a plus.
  • Broad level of progressively responsible engineering and management experience.
  • Proven leadership in project and capital management. Experience preferred in operations and/or in advanced manufacturing engineering.
  • Other: Able to act in multicultural environment and worldwide matrix organizations. Periodic travel may be required up to 20%.
