Our vision for General Manager Liberator Medical Supply at BD

  • Implement strategy for new (and existing) market and business opportunities:
  • Manage, assist and support ASM-Liberator to achieve budgeted sales targets for each product line/program monthly.
  • Collaborate with the management team to develop and implement plans for the operational infrastructure of systems, processes, and personnel designed to accommodate the rapid growth objectives of our organization. To support the Home Care sales efforts of Liberator Medical Supply business through planned Go to Market strategy implementation and indirect support of site marketing
  • team's marketing development work.
  • Undertake activities related to demand generation and activation of retail network via inside and outside sales teams.
  • To undertake initiatives and timely action with Operations and Sales team to further improve customer experience.
  • Work with the Finance team in establishing effective sales forecasting system for each product line in place.
  • The position is responsible for identifying new business opportunities and markets.
  • Aggressively develop and build sales team to successfully execute sales strategy of the Liberator Medical Supply business
  • Increase cash flow by actively identifying areas that require strengthening or corrective action
  • Drive adherence to the DME billing, commercial, and reporting guidelines as prescribed by the industry and Company.
  • Address all relevant issues related to vendors, customers, and suppliers
  • Act as lead "patient-care officer" through direct and indirect contact with provider agencies and patients.
  • Spearhead the development, communication and implementation of effective growth strategies and processes.
  • Monitor and supervise all activities of -Liberator Medical Supply (e.g. ensure sales conversions, orders are delivered on time etc.);
  • Monitor and ensure timely reporting of sales figures, target achievement and other related MIS (e.g. inventory sales orders, customer database, must-call list status etc.)
  • Regularly review current business performance and other metrics; report deviations / discrepancies to WW VP/GM
  • Monitor adherence to commercial guidelines and reporting guidelines as prescribed by the company - report discrepancies if any to relevant authority
  • Responsible for oversight of tracking of customer feedback on product quality and escalating product issues to appropriate authority within the organization

Team Leadership & Development

  • Attract, develop, motivate, and retain talent within Liberator Medical Supply and Home Care
  • Facilitate change management within the organization - develop competencies
  • Develop people leaders, create support and accountability for business unit goals to continuously implement business process improvements, and develop competency of innovation for ASMs to find innovative ways to grow the market
  • Regularly communicate with team and ensure that the organizational goals are well understood

REPORTING RELATIONSHIP RESPONSIBILITIES

Provides work direction plus has responsibility for hiring, promotions, transfers, performance management, discipline, and discharge.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS OR QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's degree in Business Management or Finance required, MBA preferred; Prior VP or founders experience in medical supply, management, service and healthcare related companies required.

  • Durable Medical Equipment Retailer Experience & Leadership: the individual must have a demonstrated track record of success and a deep understanding of all practices (legal, regulatory, commercial, etc.) within the DME industry

  • Problem solving-the individual identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner and gathers and analyzes information skillfully. Has expert level negotiation skills

  • Delegation-the individual delegates work assignments, gives authority to work independently, sets expectations and monitors delegated activities.
  • Leadership-the individual inspires and motivates others to perform well and accepts feedback from others.
  • Management skills-the individual includes staff in planning, decision-making, facilitating and process improvement; makes self-available to staff; provides regular performance feedback; and develops subordinates' skills and encourages growth.
  • Quality management-the individual looks for ways to improve and promote quality and demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness.
  • Judgment-the individual exhibits sound and accurate judgment and makes timely decisions.

Travel: Business travel up to 25% as required
