We are currently seeking a highly motivated intern for our finance department! The ideal candidate will be pursuing their degree in Accounting or Finance and have excellent communication skills as well as proficiency in Microsoft Office programs including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.
This position reports directly to the Manager of Financial Analysis and is responsible for assisting the team with various projects and tasks. This individual should also demonstrate strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
The right person will thrive in a fast-paced environment and have an aptitude to learn quickly.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in preparation of monthly management reporting packages
• Analyze trends in financial statements and other business metrics
• Develop tools/reports to help management make more informed decisions
• Perform ad hoc analyses and special projects as assigned
• Work cross functionally with many different departments within the organization
• Communicate results effectively and clearly via presentations and written documents
• Help to identify areas where cost savings can be achieved

Qualifications:

• Pursuing Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance required
• Must be able to work in office (San Diego, CA) 15 hours a week between the hours of 8am-5pm M-Th
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite required
• Detail oriented with strong analytical skills
• Ability to meet deadlines
• Self-motivated and able to work independently
