About the role

Territory: Łódzkie voivodeship

We are looking for the technical support of the customers of BD Diagnostic, especially in the region Central Poland, but also rest Poland region, occasionally East Germany and CEE, during the pre- and post-sales phase. They ensure customer satisfaction through excellent service, which includes corrective and preventive maintenance, hardware upgrades and software updates, basic operator training and efficient management of raised incidents and customer enquiries. In this role, you will be responsible for performing (preventative) maintenance on complex on-site instrumentation to solve problems and ensure long-term performance.

Main responsibilities will include:

  • Perform repair, upgrade, and maintenance of microbiology laboratory equipment at the customer site, especially in your assigned region
  • Prioritization, planning and execution of your activities according to the BD COR processes and the defined customer service level agreements
  • Maintaining the personal tool and spare part's warehouse at an appropriate level for the successful execution of your tasks
  • Handle the escalation and resolution of complex technical issues reported by the Customer Service Desk, customers and local service organizations
  • Conduct basic technical training for customers
  • Perform instrument failure analysis, screening and follow-up to continuously improve reliability
  • Documentation and maintenance of all relevant data in the BD Service Management systems to ensure optimal data accuracy and high-quality customer reporting.

About you

  • At least 3-5 years of experience as a field technician in high-tech medical devices.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent education/study in a technical field (medical technology, biomedical engineering, electronics, mechatronics, etc.).
  • Fluent Polish, very good communication skills in English
  • You have appropriate experience in the maintenance of complex instrumentation.
  • Nice to have good knowledge of computers, networks, electronics, precision mechanics and automation.
  • Highly welcome experience supporting middleware solutions in hospital or laboratory IT environment, knowledge of information systems, including computer hardware, Operating System configuration, network design and troubleshooting and virtualization technologies, will be an added advantage.
  • Occasional travelling within Europe is no problem for you.
  • A valid European class B driving license.
