We are seeking a dynamic Field Sales Lead to join our Interventional Oncology team. This pivotal role blends direct sales responsibilities with team leadership, offering a pathway to future management opportunities. You will be responsible for driving territory growth, coaching team members, and fostering relationships with key opinion leaders and healthcare professionals. Reporting to the National Sales Manager, you will also contribute to pivotal initiatives, forecasting, and budgeting to ensure the success of the team and portfolio. You will cover London and South East England.

Main responsibilities will include:

  • Lead, manage, and coach a team of two sales professionals to optimise performance, including providing regular feedback and guidance.
  • Conduct field visits with team members and support new hire onboarding through structured shadowing experiences.
  • Collaborate with the National Sales Manager on forecasting, budgeting, and strategic planning activities.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with healthcare professionals and key opinion leaders to position BD as the partner of choice.
  • Develop and execute territory plans to achieve sales targets, focusing on priority accounts within the hospital environment.
  • Deliver effective training and education sessions for customers and team members.
  • Actively contribute to tender processes, business case development, and the implementation of growth strategies.
  • Provide timely and accurate reporting on team activities, market trends, and competitor insights.

About you:

  • Educated to degree level (preferred) with a proven track record in sales.
  • Experience in the healthcare or medical devices sector, with vascular access products and NHS procurement processes.
  • Strong interpersonal and coaching skills, with prior experience in mentoring or training.
  • Skilled in data analysis and strategic demeanour to identify and leverage business opportunities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM systems, with the ability to communicate effectively and adapt to diverse audiences.
  • Resilient, organised, and capable of managing competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
