Job Overview
In this role you will lead the Executive Recruitment team within North America for our Director and Senior Director level hires. You will lead the attraction and hiring of diverse, qualified executive candidates to support BD's overall business strategy, growth plans and senior-level succession plans. This position oversees the recruitment of approx. 120 roles per year and will lead a small team of Sourcers and Recruiters, who work remotely, and be expected to be a player/coach managing up to 10 requisitions personally also. You will be expected to develop the team to meet the business and organizational needs at executive level and reduce external search firm usage.
You will be working to ensure a white glove service is delivered for hiring at the highest levels of the organization, and need to optimize our processes, technology, drive improvement and implement projects to ensure an outstanding hiring manager, candidate, and recruiter experience is offered. Responsible to enhance and improve consistency of service quality at Director/Senior Director level, you will be partnering closely with Talent Acquisition Leaders, IDE, and HR Business Partners and be confident in navigating a matrixed organization and using your communication skills to achieve success.
This role provides flexibility to work 4 days on site in Franklin Lakes, NJ and Friday remotely on a weekly basis.
Responsibilities
- Leads the Executive Recruitment team for Director/Senior Director hiring who are responsible for the end-to-end recruitment process including sourcing, screening, and shortlisting activities with stakeholders, providing a white-glove recruitment service to the business.
- Establish, communicate, and ensure best in class methodologies are applied consistently within the team and with stakeholders.
- Ensure the tools and resources needed to support the Executive Recruitment team are developed, delivered, and activated.
- Manage the end-to-end recruiting process for approx. 10 roles at a time across a complex and matrixed organization.
- Partner with senior leaders and HR Business Partners to design, implement, and execute talent acquisition strategies for senior-level talent. Provide guidance on selection processes and hiring decisions based on BD models.
- Delivers relationship management strategies with high-potential talent to accurately represent company leadership positions in the marketplace.
- Collaborates with organizational stakeholders to ensure the effectiveness and efficiency of external search strategies and internal talent brokering programs are fully maximized to deliver a diverse and qualified talent pool.
- Develop and drive initiatives together with other stakeholders to position BD as an employer of choice and implement meaningful programs to ensure successful recruitment and development of leadership talent.
- Presents concisely to Leaders within the business and HR on important developments within the executive search and ensure buy in for the next stage of functional development.
- Track and report success metrics against KPIs to ensure hiring goals are met and or exceeded.
- Maintains and ensures compliance with applicable equal employment opportunity (EEO) and related employment laws and regulations.
Experience
- 7+ years' experience within Talent Acquisition, including significant experience at Executive Search Firms
- Experience in partnering with Executive Search firms and understanding the white glove service on offer.
- Must have people manager and leadership experience in a recruitment setting
- Experience working within a heavily matrix environment.
- Experience working in the Medical Devices/Life Sciences industry preferred.
- Ability to clearly communicate strategies and ideas with hiring managers and senior management.
- Solutions-driven individual with ability to build and drive forward the recruiting function.
- Ability to manage ambiguity, stressful and/or confidential situations with ease, professionalism, and savviness.
- Critical thinking skills are essential.
- Action-oriented including the ability to make decisions in the face of ambiguity.
- Results-driven to achieve timely results while multitasking.
- Demonstrated flexibility in responding to business and environmental needs.
- Analytical skills demonstrating the ability to extract, format, analyze, and interpret data.
- Strong communication and influencing skills across multiple levels, functions, and cultures.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, PowerPoint, Word.
- Preference for experience working with Workday.
