Job Description Summary

BD is hiring for the exciting new role of EMEA BDX Education Manager!

You will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive digital training academy and programs to support our BDX business objectives and commercial effectiveness.

Effective communication, engagement and collaboration is key to this role, as is the comprehensive understanding of training design principles, curriculum development, adult learning styles, and training effectiveness.

The role will also support the delivery of best practice customer training initiatives and ensure harmonization in delivery approaches and platforms for external training audiences.

The success of this role requires close collaboration across BUs and functions. The role reports to VP Medical Affairs EMEA.

This is a hybrid role preferably based in the UK (Winnersh), however we are open to other office locations.

Main responsibilities will include:

  • Provide guidance in developing and maintaining effective Training Programs and Processes by BUs.
  • Support the Build of an EMEA digital training platform (infrastructure and tools), leveraging relevant training technologies and aligning with corporate/global framework decisions. Closely collaborate with our US colleagues.
  • Ensure that all aspects of the Training Programs are compliant to all applicable regulations and standards as well as internal policies and processes.
  • Analyze and assess the performance strength of training practices and processes and maintain a keen understanding of training trends, developments and best practices.
  • Act as a training subject matter expert and advisor as needed and provide proactive and reactive support in response to identified challenges.
  • Support quality and compliance projects as required to ensure training standards and SOPs are followed and in place.
  • Provide budget input and monitoring as needed.

About you

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Lifesciences, Marketing, Economics or BA (potentially nursing degree) or related subject area.
  • Extensive experience in Medical / Healthcare industry in either training, medical affairs, marketing or clinical roles (e.g. nursing).
  • Certification in an area such as training effectiveness, adult learning principles or trainer qualification is preferred.
  • Knowledge of regulations and compliance requirements in life sciences.
  • International or European experience.
  • IT competent, including CRM systems
  • Fluent in English. A further major European language would be an advantage
  • Willingness to travel minimum 20% (up to 40%)
