About the role

As Customer Finance Teamleader (Europe), you will be responsible for credit management in Europe. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting efforts to reach the Days Sales Outstanding (DSO) target for the Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) region.
  • Identifying and driving standardization of processes as well as centralization opportunities for the Business Development (BD) team, as measured by related processes.
  • Initiating and leading actions in cooperation with the Customer Finance Manager to improve the BD team's credit management processes.
  • Implementing internal control improvements and ensuring adherence to policies.

In this role, you will play a crucial part in streamlining credit management operations across Europe, optimizing processes, and ensuring compliance with internal policies and controls. Your efforts will contribute to achieving financial targets and enhancing the overall efficiency of the organization's credit management practices within the EMEA region.

Credit & Collection activities:

  • Supervise credit risk and payment terms in Europe
  • Ensure yearly Credit Limit reviews in each country
  • Support the team on blocked orders and customers, applying the BD Strategy and cooperating with the collection team
  • Maintain a critical attitude on safeguarding BD assets

Stakeholder Management & compliance:

  • Build strong business relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Supervise internal and SOX controls for completeness, correctness, and security of financial data and transactions
  • Provide information to internal and external audits
  • Prepare the Representation Letter and Q-questionnaire for the region

People Management/Training and development:

  • Manage a team of approximately 4 associates
  • Hire, develop, and mentor team members
  • Translate the vision, mission, and strategy of BD Finance to the team
  • Coordinate team meetings and initiate/lead recruitment processes
  • Ensure business continuity and build back-up plans

Process expertise and improvements:

  • Support the Customer Finance team on specific topics to solve pending issues
  • Realize standardization and propagation of best practices to improve quality and process standards

  • Financial systems and tools knowledge and utilization skills (SAP)
