Job Description Summary

Responsible for the control of all cost functions for the facility, including providing support to production facility personnel, inventory, reserve, costing as well as any other items deemed necessary by the Assoc. Director, Controller.

Job Description

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Month end closing.
  • Annual Budget.
  • Physical Inventory.
  • Monitor and Report on Inventory Status.
  • Various Cost Accounting Reports.
  • Supply Cost Information to other departments and division as needed.
  • Train department heads on understanding their costs and cost structure.
  • Quoting new product costs/changes.
  • Supervise all monthly journal vouchers and ensure their accuracy.
  • Oversee the tracking and analysis of the plant spending.
  • Perform due diligence for acquisitions and new product transfers.
  • Research and review all requests for authorizations for capital expenditures.
  • Ensure accuracy of all inventories.
  • Plan, organizes, and leads semi-annual physical inventory counts.
  • Prepare Month end and Annual Financial Statements.
  • Track and report monthly spending along with variances to budget.
  • Work closely with Division finance on new products, cost allocations, audits, and other analysis projects.
  • Interact with each department to ensure delivery of savings projects and engineering changes.
  • Prepare the cost portion of the annual Plant Operations Budget under the Guidance/volume from BU and Associate Director Controller
  • Assist in any project as assigned.
  • Identify opportunities to continuously improve the efficiency and quality of work.
  • Assists in quarterly SOX audits at the facility.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting.
  • 3 - 5 years manufacturing experience
  • Operational excellence, quality, regulatory, business acumen, and finance advanced knowledge in cost accounting, capital projects, compliance and internal control.
  • Strong technical expertise in project management and operations management with strong knowledge in Lean manufacturing.
  • Communication skills with all levels of the organization
  • Ability to influence without authority.
  • Leadership and Strategic thinking
  • Building effective transversal team and network
  • Managing complexity and diversity
