Our vision for Peripherical Intervention at BD

Our Peripheral Intervention (PI) business unit offers a comprehensive range of medical products, devices and services for the treatment of peripheral arterial and venous disease, cancer detection, and end-stage renal disease and maintenance.

As a Business Development Manager, you will:

  • Identify and develop KOLs for new applications to increase awareness and adoption of the PI solutions
  • Work with clinicians and allied healthcare professionals to develop podium presentations, submission of Key Products abstracts, white papers, and posters, etc. Administer National and International congresses/surgical society meetings strategy to support business development
  • Train, coach sales reps on new indications and applications and work in close co-operation with country teams.
  • Collaborate with Marketing in administering peer-to-peer preceptorship programs, centers of excellence, clinical symposia and advisory boards to drive short term awareness, adoption (Prof ED).
  • Refine & launch (together with the EMEA marketing team) patient and healthcare provider education strategies and corresponding collateral to ensure the safe and efficacious adoption
  • Provide written product/ market / competitor reports and feedback to EMEA MD as required.

About you:

  • Expected to gain a thorough knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathologies and to actively contribute to the training of the direct sales forces.
  • A minimum of 6 years of experience in a clinical/market development experience is preferred.
  • A degree in a Life Science (or equivalent) or a strong experience (+5/7 years) in the medical device industry.
  • Ideally have experience of working closely with sales teams. To already have in place good surgical clinical knowledge is an advantage.
  • You have a strong sense of teamwork and possess a deep dedication to maintaining high medical ethics. Equivalent experience in addition to educational requirements will be considered.
  • You own a proven track record in medical device sales within the relevant setting is highly desirable. Motivation, perseverance, and creativity are a definitive plus.
  • Advanced knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft Excel, pivot tables, Word, Power Point and Outlook
  • Experienced and successful KOL interaction and leadership and influence skills for all levels of the business & surgical market is required.
  • Exceptional teammate with a proven history of encouraging collaboration and ability to analyze market and sales trends as they relate to the product portfolio.

This job requires at least 70% of mobility across the country.
