About the role

As a leading manufacturer and supplier of products that are used daily in healthcare, the Medication Delivery Solutions (MDS) team provide a wide range of products for injection and infusion therapy, regional anaesthesia and closed medication management.

As a Business Development Executive, you will play a pivotal role in setting the next standards in medication delivery in the UK. Your primary focus will be prioritizing ground-breaking MDS solutions in key accounts and emerging spaces. This role involves identifying, managing, and developing key accounts to position MDS as a strategic partner at senior stakeholder levels for joint value creation. Your efforts will contribute significantly to achieving MDS sales and GP targets.

Main responsibilities will include:

  • Establish professional relationships with assigned accounts, including ICS' and healthcare executive bodies, identifying and developing a senior stakeholder network and reinforcing relationships at the executive level decision-makers
  • Drive value creation for customer executives and decision makers, bringing together, validating, and detailing pathway efficiencies from the MDS solutions and products portfolio.
  • Identify and qualify new business opportunities with a high degree of success.
  • Lead deployment of new commercial capabilities, including innovative contracting models and new spaces, securing market shaping, profitable business
  • Presenting strategic value propositions into healthcare at Director, Procurement, Finance, Senior Management and Senior Clinician levels - with optimum use of BD economic tools and models
  • Differentiate MDS solutions from competitors and optimise patient care based on a strong value proposition specific to the key customer.
  • Create and lead strategy for specific customers and opportunities.
  • Work with the wider MDS and BDX team to create and optimise sales growth and customer experience.
  • Maintaining knowledge and awareness of industry trends, particularly around vascular access management trends and innovations

About you

  • Experience and Education required:
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in business development, specifically in solutions development.
  • Consistent overachieving sales performer, including strategic accounts/key account management roles.
  • Healthcare Sales experience is a must-have for this role (oncology preferred).
  • Strong commercial acumen, demonstrable through evidenced securing of innovative commercial partnerships with healthcare providers
  • A deep understanding of the UK healthcare market, with excellent executive-level relationships
  • A bachelor's degree, MBA, or post-graduate marketing qualification is preferred.
  • Communicates effectively and persuasively both inside and outside of the organization in a variety of presentation settings.
  • A track record of collaboration, having led and coordinated a team to secure mid to long-term business.
  • Experience working in a large matrix organisation is preferred.
