This role will be responsible for supporting the marketing activities of the BD Interventional business in Australia and New Zealand (ANZ). The successful candidate will work closely with the marketing and sales team, as well as other stakeholders within ANZ and the global organisation. This position is based at our head office in Macquarie Park, Sydney.

Responsibilities:

  • Develops local marketing and product strategy, tactics, research and coordination for current and emerging products
  • Assists in the management of day-to-day progress and maintenance of products
  • Collaborate with a wide variety of functional teams such as marketing, sales, customer service, finance, regulatory, quality, supply chain and operations to be responsive to customer needs, market opportunities and execute marketing initiatives
  • Assists with developing digital content such as blogs, videos, social media posts, email newsletters, brochures etc. to drive engagement and build relationships with customers
  • Support marketing campaigns by managing collateral and providing artwork/layout assistance where required
  • Maintain up-to-date product information on the website
  • Monitor competitors' activity and recommend strategies to improve our own presence online
  • Produces competitive analysis materials comparing product with its key competitors
  • Ensure promotional materials comply with local laws and regulations
  • Conduct research into industry trends, customer needs and market conditions to inform future strategies
  • Manage customer data bases and databases of leads generated through marketing activities
  • Organise and provide support during trade shows and events
  • Maintain necessary contact with major suppliers, customers, industry associations to achieve common objectives
  • Preparation of tenders and contracts in conjunction with Sales, Marketing and Tenders and Contracts Management
  • Maintain a standard of excellence in product knowledge with key customer facing groups including the sales team, sales management team, customer service and external customers.
  • Other related tasks at the discretion of management

Preferred Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing or equivalent experience preferred
  • Strong understanding of current digital landscape and how it relates to healthcare industry
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Ability to multitask effectively under pressure
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Organised approach with excellent time management skills
  • Self-motivated individual who works well independently yet collaboratively within a team environment
  • Committed to achieving results
  • Previous experience working in a medical device manufacturing company would be advantageous
