Job Description
This position will manage the sales activities for the PS business in South Asia by working closely with internal team and key accounts, in order to maximize sales opportunities and achieve PS South Asia targets. The incumbent should also be able to identify market potential and develop strategic plans for the business unit. This person will build strong relationships within all levels of management internally as well as externally. He/she will need to coordinate efforts across various functions such as supply chain, logistics, pricing, billing, quality, Technical, marketing etc. to ensure customer satisfaction and maintain smooth flow of operations.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategy based on understanding of market dynamics and customers
- Manage sales process by building relationship with key accounts, identifying business opportunities, developing proposals, preparing quotations, closing deals, ensuring timely collection of payment, resolving customer complaints, tracking orders status, and providing feedback to superiors
- Identify product needs and make recommendations to improve products and services
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders viz a viz C-Suite, Packaging and Development, Device Development team, Portfolio team, Quality, technical and other key stakeholders of the different accounts.
- Conduct regular meetings with key accounts to discuss their requirements, issues, concerns, competitor activity, etc.
- Coordinate with cross functional teams like marketing, technical support, training etc. to provide value added service to customers
- Provide inputs and work closely with Commercial Development team for new development projects and revenue stream in future
- Track sales performance against target and update forecasts regularly
- Monitor expenses incurred on account of travel, promotional activities, etc., ensuring adherence to budget limits
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements related to sales processes
Qualification:
- Bachelor's degree in Science/Pharmacy (Preferred) or Commerce
- Master's degree in Business Administration
- At least 8-10+ years of experience in Pharmaceutical Industry (B2B in devices, API or other related Pharma packaging) (Preferred)
- Overall 15 + years of experience including experiences in Business Development or Marketing
- Previous experience in handling large institutions, HOD's and Key Opinion Leaders
- Strong presentation skills and good communication abilities
- Proficiency in MS Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Ability to plan and execute tasks independently
- Prior People Leadership experience
