The Associate Director of ISC (Integrated Supply Chain) Finance is a critical role in the Advanced Patient Monitoring (APM) Puerto Rico plant management team. Located in Puerto Rico, this role is part of the plant's leadership team, partnering closely with the Plant Manager to drive results and financial compliance.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Financial Modeling and decision making (Make vs Buy, Site impacts, etc)
  • Accountable for successful budgeting, forecasting, and reporting processes for Plant
  • Business partner to the plant leadership team
  • Creates an open, inclusive environment for employees to grow and challenge themselves
  • Leader should create a culture of innovation; enabling teams to develop solutions to business problems and elevating those ideas that are successful to the broader group to achieve economies of scale
  • Ensures accounting treatments are accurate and adhere to GAAP - proactively engages the Controller organization for technical treatments where disagreement or uncertainty exists
  • Comply with all local, state, federal, and BD safety regulations, policies, and procedures
  • Comply with all local BD quality policies, procedures, and practices through consistent application of sound quality assurance principles
  • Plant site and headquarter visits, as required
  • Ad hoc support or special projects, as required.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education

  • Bachelor's degree required with a focus in Accounting/Finance preferred
  • MBA/ CPA/ CMA preferred

Experience

  • 5+ years of relevant accounting/costing/FP&A experience
  • 2+ years of management experience
  • Previous experience within BDX ISC Finance preferred

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Strong Financial systems and tools knowledge and utilization skills (HFM, SAP, JDE, BPC).
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel as demonstrated by previous experience creating and manipulating complex spreadsheets (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, macros, etc.) required.
  • Previous ERP costing experience (SAP / JDE highly desirable) related to standard cost build-ups and work order variance analysis.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint) required.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to use logic, reasoning, and critical thinking in identifying the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
  • Demonstrated ability to build credibility with and challenge stakeholders to drive initiatives and deliver high impact solutions to meet business needs.
  • Resilient and persistent when faced with obstacles.
  • Ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines and handle multiple/detail-oriented tasks.
  • Strong collaboration and demonstrated ability to establish relationships and build rapport with all stakeholders, and influence management through informed discussions and presentations.
