Summary:
This position provides technical assistance to clinicians and other hospital personnel on BD products and services. The representative serves as a clinical resource for customers and promotes BD's positive reputation in the community by demonstrating excellent customer service skills and being an active participant in local events.
Responsibilities:
- Provides clinical education to customers on BD products, therapies and/or procedures
- Assists with product evaluations or competitive product comparisons
- Demonstrates product features and benefits to customers
- Assists in conducting training sessions for customers and hospital staff on BD products and related procedures
- Acts as a liaison between BD and customers to identify and resolve issues
- Maintains detailed records of customer interactions and activity such as product demos, training, and customer complaints
- Develops relationships with key decision makers and influencers at target accounts
- Monitors and reports market trends and competitor activities
- Participates in professional organizations and trade shows
- Attends meetings and conferences
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Experience working in an acute care setting strongly preferred
- Strong understanding of medical terminology
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Computer proficiency including Microsoft Office Suite
- Must possess a valid driver's license
- Travel required - estimated to be approximately 50%-75%
