Responsibilities

  • Design and develop complex requirements to accomplish business goals.
  • Ensure that software is developed to meet functional, non-functional and compliance requirements.
  • Perform spike/proof of concept as necessary to mitigate risk or implement new ideas.
  • Code solutions and unit tests to deliver a requirement/story per the defined acceptance criteria and compliance requirements.
  • Design, develop, and modify architecture components, application interfaces, and solution enablers while ensuring principal architecture integrity is maintained.
  • Design, develop, and maintain automated test suites (integration, regression, performance).
  • Set up and develop a continuous integration delivery pipeline.
  • Design and implement the User Interface using Javascript, jQuery, HTML5, XHTML, XML, CSS3, JSP, AJAX, and Servlets.
  • Write unit test cases using JUNIT and MOCKITO for spring applications unit testing.
  • Implement application-level persistence layer using Hibernate and JPA to interact with the Oracle database.
  • Write UNIX and shell scripts in combination with Perl scripts for automation of build and deployment of applications.
  • Remote work may be permitted within a commutable distance from the worksite.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Engineering (any), Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems or related; and
  • 5 years of progressively responsible experience in the job offered or a related IT occupation.
  • Must include 5 years of experience in each of the following:
  • Designing and implementing the User Interface using Javascript, jQuery, HTML5, XHTML, XML, CSS3, JSP, AJAX, and Servlets;
  • Writing unit test cases using JUNIT and MOCKITO for spring applications unit testing;
  • Implementing application-level persistence layer using Hibernate and JPA to interact with the Oracle database; and,
  • Writing UNIX and shell scripts in combination with Perl scripts for automation of build and deployment of applications.
