Role Description:

We are seeking an experience and driven Vice President to join our Leveraged Finance team within Global Capital Markets. In this role, you will be part of the EMEA Leveraged Finance Origination team and will be leading the structuring and execution of transactions (high yield / loans) including responsibility to lead client calls, and partner with our global Capital Markets syndicate desk, as well as internal credit and risk stakeholders. You will collaborate with senior originators in the team to develop tactical plans within the broader GCIB strategic mandate, specific to the targeted client industry.

  • Analysing clients' financing needs & structures the financing package
  • Taking accountability to prepare proposals to clients on appropriate financing structure, whilst coordinating with capital markets syndicate partners and industry bankers
  • Monitor and provide insights on market conditions that impact our clients
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders such as risk and credit on new transactions as well as lead the execution of deals by being the primary lead for preparation/marketing with external counsels and client working teams
  • Manage and develop direct junior (Analyst and Associate) resources and activities across the global franchise in order to deliver the Bank's products and services to the client
  • To ensure the Bank's activities are conducted in a compliant and risk free manner
  • Responsible for the attraction and development of junior talent and following such performance management procedures as the company's policies dictate

What we are looking for:

  • Previous experience within leveraged finance, investment banking related field
  • Deep understanding of credit fundamentals, syndicated loan/high yield bonds market
  • Analytical and quantitative skills are required alongside excellent interpersonal communication skills
  • Fluency in English is essential and a second European language a plus
  • Meticulous attention to detail, diligence and conscientiousness
  • In depth experience of delivering investment banking products and advisory services to clients
  • Demonstrable ability to understand financing needs and match client needs with the most appropriate product / service
  • Team player - evidence of having built, developed and led teams
  • Educated to degree level (preferably in a numerical discipline such as finance)
