The Role

Join as a member of a high performing sales and coverage team providing transaction banking solutions to the bank's Global Financial Institutions Group (FIG). This specialized client group will require a high level of management and expertise to ensure responsible growth across the portfolio.

The role as a Vice President (VP) / Treasury Sales Officer (TSO) based in Sydney, will require you to maintain a strong client focus and the ability to build a strong internal network across the regional and global bank network. The role will also require building a working partnership with one or more Treasury Sales Officers in Australia to support the growth of the assigned portfolio, as well as the growth of the broader team portfolio.

As the successful TSO you will be required to manage multiple competing priorities with an understanding of the bank, the operational aspects of the products and services, and the key risks to the institution.

The VP / TSO will:

  • Build out the identified client portfolio in line with the bank's strategy
  • Manage and grow revenues from existing clients
  • Partner closely with Corporate Bankers, Regional and Global GPS Colleagues and other business partners (as appropriate) to consult on sales opportunities and provide the product expertise and consultation necessary to deliver the best possible Treasury and Trade solutions to the client in-country or regionally.
  • Pitch alongside with Corporate Bankers' as specialist on treasury, trade and liquidity products.
  • Identify client's needs and work closely with internal partners (Product Management, Client Delivery, Services and Operations) to structure adequate solutions
  • Manage and support RFP processes as relates to specialist products (Deal Review, Pricing, RFP response coordination).
  • Ensure timely resolution of GPS relationship sensitive client servicing issues within the organization.

Required Skills

  • At least 3+ years of relevant banking experience
  • Good working knowledge of and exposure to the Financial Institutions Group including banks, non-banks and government segments, in an analytical or sales related role
  • Knowledge and/or exposure to Cash Management products and services with familiarity towards credit, trade and foreign exchange
  • Demonstrated track record in developing and maintaining collaborative working relationships
  • Excellent organisation skills to manage multiple projects and stakeholders
