RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop solutions and processes for delivering features based on their knowledge of design/architectural patterns and Agile/DevOps practices.
  • Ensure the systems design and requirements are aligned to achieve the desired business outcomes, and that team practices and coding/quality principles are aligned to achieve the desired technology outcomes.
  • Design and develop and be accountable for feature delivery.
  • Apply enterprise standards for solution design, coding and quality.
  • Design and develop solution architectures to scale backend systems using Java.
  • Utilize full stack engineering, Linux, coding, and debugging.
  • Design and develop production ready software using web, cloud, and distributed technologies including Java, Spring Boot, ReactJS, REST APIs, Oracle PL/SQL and CI/CD cloud deployment.
  • Design and develop new proof of concept projects to enhance current software systems to handle increased traffic and larger datasets with cutting edge technologies including Elasticsearch and Kafka.
  • Use JIRA tool and Agile best practices to manage the day-to-day tasks.
  • Remote work may be permitted within a commutable distance from the worksite.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, Engineering (any), or related; and
  • 5 years of progressively responsible experience in the job offered or a related IT occupation.
  • Must include 5 years of experience in each of the following:
  • Designing and developing solution architectures to scale backend systems using Java;
  • Utilizing full stack engineering, Linux, coding, and debugging;
  • Designing and developing production ready software using web, cloud, and distributed technologies including Java, Spring Boot, ReactJS, REST APIs, Oracle PL/SQL and CI/CD cloud deployment;
  • Designing and developing new proof of concept projects to enhance current software systems to handle increased traffic and larger datasets with cutting edge technologies including Elasticsearch and Kafka; and,
  • Using JIRA tool and Agile best practices to manage the day-to-day tasks.
