Job Description:
Responsible for capturing and refining business and/or system requirements (based on specialization). Works with stakeholders to understand their needs, analyze problems, and capture their requirements, and then working closely with the Development Team to refine the requirement into specifications that can be executed by the team. Possess a working knowledge of the business and/or technical domain based on their specialization. Leverages experience and understanding of stakeholder needs to help create a solution, envisions the solution to solve a problem (manual or through software). Performs Cost/Benefit Analysis to align the technology to business strategy. Gathers & catalogs functional, non-functional, and technical requirements for stakeholder requests. Determines the impact of modifications and enhancements on the application. Acts as the product(s) subject matter expert to support scope and requirement decisions. Ensures changes to the application are compliant with bank standards and policies. Assists users and development team with application testing and troubleshooting, and may help configure test solutions to validate functional and system needs. Identifies, document and troubleshoot application related problems. Documents process, procedures and workflows associated with applications. Leads or participate in continuous improvement efforts; Building expertise in creating, analyzing, and improving processes. Creates, maintains and presents training materials for end-users. Individual contributor.

Position Summary

This role is responsible for capturing and supporting delivery of system requirements to accomplish business goals. Key responsibilities include working with stakeholders to understand their needs, capture their requirements, perform impact analysis, and then working closely with the Development Team(s) to refine the requirements into specifications that can be executed by the team. Individuals in this role possess a working knowledge of the business/technical domain and the main applications within that domain.

Responsibilities:

  • Understand stakeholder needs to help envision and create a solution to solve a problem.
  • Support cost/benefit analysis to align technology solutions to business strategy.
  • Gather and catalog functional, non-functional, and technical requirements for stakeholder requests.
  • Provide subject matter expertise within the business/technical domain to support scope and requirement decisions
  • Determine the impact of modifications and enhancements to applications and assist with identifying integration points and the end-to-end solution design.
  • Ensure changes to the application are compliant with bank standards and policies
  • For vendor applications, work closely with the vendor to ensure changes meet bank requirements including assisting with acceptance testing where needed.
  • Assist users and development teams in application testing and troubleshooting, and may help with test planning and configuring test solutions to validate functional and system needs.
  • Document processes, procedures and workflows associated with applications.
  • Participate in continuous improvement efforts to create, analyze, and improve processes and solutions.
  • Create, maintain and present training materials for end-users.

Additional Details:

The role will provide delivery and technical writing support for our organization along with coordination for enterprise rollout activities. The successful candidate will collaborate with our team and partner teams to deliver value. They must be an analytical thinker who is able to support efforts in a highly regulated environment. Candidate must also be fluent with process modeling and process engineering with an ability to document current state and future state workflows.

Required Qualifications:

  • 7-10+ years of professional technology experience
  • Strong interpersonal and communication (both written and oral) skills
  • Demonstrated superior written communication skillset with ability to summarize details in an understandable format.
  • Experienced in Process Modeling.
  • Excellent organizational skills, superior attention to detail, ability to manage multiple work streams simultaneously and respond to rapidly changing demands
  • Keen analytical abilities and a deep understanding of change management standards.

Desired Qualifications

  • Cybersecurity, release management and process engineering experience
  • Experience working in the Banking and Financial Services industry
  • Experience working in a regulated environment requiring keen attention to process and detail.
  • Ability to work with teammates across multiple time zones.
