The Team:
GCIBT EMEA is looking for a Solution Design Architect to join an existing analysis and design team located in the UK. The team work with business and technology partners to deliver projects covering Payments, Accounting, Liquidity, Credit, Loans, and Regulatory change, spanning EMEA, APAC, Canada and LATAM regions.
Role Description:
The Solution design Architect will be responsible for the earlier engagement with the business, supporting the business analysis, documenting conceptual solutions and defining high level estimates. The Solution Design Archiect will be responsible for developing the High Level Design include the functional requirements and then supporting the technology teams as the solutions are develop and tested. They will be expected to influence senior leaders in the business and technology and provide guidance to junior team members.
The functional designer will have excellent treasury business knowledge and experience of designing solutions using multiple technologies. They will be experienced at working with vendors and technically leading offshore team members. They will be expected to help set the process and standards for the design function and supporting continual improvement.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand and articulate their needs and problem statements.
- Understanding the product vision and roadmap and help project in PI Planning.
- Assess the scope of change and impact to technology and stakeholders.
- Liaise between the business units, technology teams, delivery, and support teams to arrive at optimal solutions based on scope.
- Collaborating with multiple stakeholder for defining the E2E solution.
- Developing High Level/E2E Solution Design for GTST EMEA projects.
- Facilitate walkthroughs for requirement and solution assessments.
- Supporting the delivery teams throughout the agile project lifecycle
- Performing initial engagement with the business to determine concept designs and project estimates and provide technology guidance.
- Determining the impact of change initiated in other technology teams on the EMEA Treasury environment (technology, people, process)
- Reviewing project designs for adherence to the organisation design standards and technology stack like Cloud, security, change governance.
- Set the technology strategy (technology and design standards) for the department.
- Working closely with the enterprise architecture team to build out the treasury platform.
- Support the build out of the Global Corporate and Investment Banking Technology strategy through development of blueprints in the treasury space.
- Ensuring timely quality deliverables.
- Regular status reporting to Senior Management in technology and the business
What we are looking for:
- Has experience in requirements/Solution elicitation techniques such as interviews, document analysis, workshops, surveys, business process flows, use cases.
- Has experience analysing and documenting requirements/designs using an agile methodology (Epics and Stories)
- Has experience working with business and technology teams to deliver solutions in a banking environment.
- Have led application design for multiple solutions across technology platforms
- Has experience of developing solutions in a banking environment.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate with both Business and technology teams.
- Good technical and architecture knowledge.
- Has extensive technical and data analysis experience working with a variety of architectures.
- Has driven the selection of vendor packages and worked closely with the vendor to integrate the packages into the technology environment.
- Have a proven record of providing technology leadership to onshore and offshore development teams..
