Process Overview

Global Banking & Markets division serves mid- to large-sized corporations and institutional clients worldwide. It is comprised of Business Banking, Global Commercial Banking, Global Corporate & Investment Banking, Global Markets and Wholesale Credit. Aligned with these client-facing groups are Global Capital Markets and Global Research. The Shared Technology Platforms is a portfolio under the GBAMT Strategy, Architecture and Core Platforms portfolio. The portfolio is responsible for designing, building and maintaining high performing software systems that are used by the Global Banking and Markets Technology employees globally. These are Technology for Technology tools that cater to varying project management needs including but not limited to forecasting, hiring, resource lifecycle management etc

Job Description

Following established written procedures, guidelines and techniques, develops, enhances, tests, supports, maintains, and debugs software applications that support business units or support functions. Individual contributor role; fully competent to work under general direction on the most complex projects, often on multiple phases, and seeks guidance and direction from more senior associates or manager, as needed. Working knowledge of business or function for which application is designed. Often responsible for the completion of a phase of a project. Provides guidance and checks the work of less experienced associates. Within GMOT, Derivatives & FX Technology is responsible for handling confirmations, clearing, settlement, regulatory reporting, fees, reporting and messaging for all Derivatives and FX asset classes. The DataLink suite of applications perform application integration services for various trading and back office systems within GMRT. Services include real-time and batch messaging, message translation, content based routing and data enrichment. As a Team Member, the associate will be working at Hyderabad in an Agile Team that is responsible for DataLink and messaging suite of applications.

Responsibilities

  • Work in agile team to determine needs and apply/customize existing technology to meet those requirements
  • Work on projects that involve design, development , testing and deployment
  • Maintain existing software systems by identifying and correcting software defects
  • Maintain multiple projects and deadlines
  • Document and report application specifics

Requirements

Education: B.E./ B. Tech/M.E./M. Tech/BSC/MSC/BCA/MCA (prefer IT/CS specialization)

Certifications if any: NA

Experience Range: 8-10 years

Foundational skills

  • Expertise in Core Java, J2EE and design patterns.
  • Expertise in all the SDLC development tools.
  • Expertise in database skills - Sybase & SQL Server
  • Knowledge of middleware technologies like IBM MQ / Tibco/ MuleSoft
  • Proficient in agile methodology.
  • Interacting with Business Users
  • Good understanding of the functional testing process, scenarios and what to expect from a testing sequence
  • Strong Problem Identifying and solving ability
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Highly committed and ability to work in fast paced environment against tight deadlines
  • Ability to work in international virtual teams and in matrix structures and being a good team player
  • Positive attitude to resolve problems and ability to work odd hours to support the business demands
  • Primary Technical Skills
    • Operating System : UNIX / Windows
    • Programming : Java / J2EE
    • Database : RDBMS
