Process Overview*
Global Wholesale Banking Technology (GWBT) comprises of technology for Commercial, Corporate and Investment Banking Customers of Bank of America across the globe. The team works closely with the business and strategic partners to architect, design and develop applications for the Global Wholesale Banking Line of Business.
Job Description:
This is one of key position for experienced Mainframe Tech-Feature Lead role to provide leadership and deep technical expertise in all aspects of solution design and application development for EMEA Tech Global banking Applications. This role will be responsible for providing technical leadership and oversight to multiple scrum team delivering Key projects/Programs planned for the next few years .
Key responsibilities of the job including providing oversight of the design, implementation, and maintenance of complex computer programs, align technical solutions to business objectives, and ensure that coding practices/quality comply with software development standards
This role will focus on taking responsibility for technically robust solutions encompassing all business, architecture, and technology constraints.
Responsibilities:
- Review and approve the High Level system design and solution or EMEA Tech GBS projects.
- Provide SME support and technical guidance to the multiple scrum delivery teams
- Perform CSME Code review for key and complex program changes for adherence to coding standards and code quality.
- Review the scope and dependencies throughout the project delivery.
- Provide technical oversight and review the implementation plan and Technical checkouts
- Guide scrum team developers technical skills and practices including planning & estimation, peer reviews and other engineering practices
- Oversee detailed execution of projects at every level - Requirements gathering, technical design, build and quality assurance.
- Review high level and low level (platform) design and testing strategy and support the development and testing teams as the solutions are built out.
- Review implementation plan and the projects release preparedness activities.
- Support delivery team in analyzing the complex program and solutions for the projects
- Involve in Post production issues fixes and analysis for the aligned projects
Requirements:
Education: B.E./ B. Tech/M.E./M. Tech/BSC/MSC/BCA/MCA (prefer IT/CS specialization)
Certifications If Any: NA
Experience Range: 10 - 12 yrs.
Foundational skills:
- Should have Experience between 12 to 16 years in Mainframe development.
- Strong technical experience in COBOL , IMS DB , JCL
- Strong knowledge in Bitbucket , IDZ , Sonarqube/link tools
- Strong Global wholesale banking domain expertise .
- Must have the ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Excellent time management and prioritization skills
- Knowledge of business processes and technology delivery methodology
- Knowledge managing both a Waterfall and Agile development environment.
- Demonstrates leadership and problem solving abilities
- Self-driven personality rather than being told what to do.
- Schedules and facilitates regular meetings to review progress and status, and ad hoc topical meetings; formulates agendas and documents minutes, action items. etc.
Desired skills:
- Experience in working in SAFe methodologies.
- Good working knowledge in Agile teams
- Experience working on Mainframe based applications
- Experience working on Trade and credit application or banking application
