Responsibilities

  • Define an architectural vision and architecture for large complex solutions, which aligns with the enterprise architecture strategy, technology, and platform choices.
  • Describe the solution intent and the associated operating environment.
  • Determine the primary systems/subsystems and their interfaces and define non-functional requirements and architectural runway to support new epics/features and expand into new opportunities.
  • Ensure the solution is fit for purpose and use by working with stakeholders, vendors, and service providers.
  • Evaluate the impact of strategic design decisions.
  • Contribute to best practices, standard templates, and the architecture roadmap for defined domains.
  • Design and develop cloud architectures and support migration to modern tech stacks using OpenShift, Azure, Terraform, and Splunk.
  • Design and deliver new features and functionalities using micro services architecture in Java, .NET, and Python using Free and Open-Source frameworks.
  • Evaluate and recommend fit-for-purpose API management solutions including API Gateways and Service Mesh.
  • Drive middleware and integration strategies with MuleSoft, JBoss, WebSphere, Spring, Kafka and MQ to build scalable and resilient systems.
  • Design and develop new proof of concept projects to enhance current software systems to handle increased traffic and larger datasets using Apache Spark, Big Data, REST, NoSQL, and Quarkus.
  • Remote work may be permitted within a commutable distance from the worksite.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Applied Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, Engineering (any), or related; and
  • 5 years of progressively responsible experience in the job offered or a related IT occupation.
  • Must include 5 years of experience in each of the following:
  • Designing and developing cloud architectures and supporting migration to modern tech stacks using OpenShift, Azure, Terraform, and Splunk;
  • Designing and delivering new features and functionalities using micro services architecture in Java, .NET, and Python using Free and Open-Source frameworks;
