Role Description:
We are looking for an experienced leader who is highly strategic, influential with excellent governance skills to oversee a dynamic and varied portfolio of change initiatives and transformation programs.
The role also blends strategy formulation, performance management, and operational acumen to the above core skills in driving Fixed Income Operational transformation agenda and delivering oversight to Operations and the business.
The role will enhance the framework for portfolio governance, develop robust procedures and communication routines to ensure initiatives are successfully delivered across the enterprise. The role will focus on risk management specifically in identifying and assessing operational risks associated with the portfolio and partner with change managers to implement risk mitigation and return initiatives to on track. The role will also have a high level of stakeholder exposure across Operations, Technology, Sales & Trading, Finance, and Risk.
Responsibilities:
- Portfolio Strategy: Ensure portfolio of change and transformation initiatives are aligned with the overall strategy and conduct deep analysis to identify key risks and priorities
- Portfolio Management: Oversight of end-to-end portfolio management including streamlining intake requests, ensuring clear prioritization, resource allocation and tracking performance metrics
- Governance Framework: Enhance and maintain a robust governance framework with clear definition of change roles, responsibilities, communication and governance routines and prioritization criteria
- Collaboration and Stakeholder Management: Build strong relationships with operational peers, business partners, technology teams, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment and collaboration
- Data Analytics: Leverage analytics to inform portfolio decisions and enhance reporting. Use data to drive optimization of portfolio performance
- Performance Measurement: Define and track KPIs to measure portfolio performance and analyze areas for continuous improvement in change management framework
- Operational Excellence: Identify, plan, and deliver operational excellence initiatives across various teams within Fixed Income Operations - in areas of process improvements, standardization, and optimization
- Leadership and Culture: Lead and mentor the Fixed Income Operations Change team. Foster a culture of innovation, continuous improvement to support talent development
What we are looking for:
- Proven track record in operations transformation and portfolio management within the financial services industry
- Deep understanding of the operational needs in the Fixed Income business and pain points of different asset class segments
- Ability to face off with senior business heads at a strategic level while understanding the detail
- Analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to review and highlight project risks and issues and partner on mitigating solutions
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Ability to conduct presentations with emphasis on storytelling to convey and influence the case for change
- Experience in designing and implementing governance framework
- Expertise in using data analytics and reporting tools (Excel, Tableau, Power BI)
