Role Description:
Our Cyber Threat Hunting, Intelligence & Defense team within Bank of America's Cyber Security Defense function works to continuously strengthen the bank's cyber security posture through research, intelligence, threat simulations, threat hunting, and offensive security engagements. This team also works with peers in public and private sectors to discover threats to help secure critical national infrastructure around the world that interacts with millions of customers.
Responsibilities:
The Cyber Threat Intelligence Analyst will collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders including cyber-security response teams, internal lines of business, senior leadership, and external organizations such as law enforcement, industry peers, key suppliers, customers, and intelligence sharing partners. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced operational security environment
What we are looking for:
• Prior experience working in Information or cyber security.
• Familiarity with JIRA, Python, JAVA and SQL or other relevant data analytics tools.
• Demonstrated ability to self-direct, with minimal supervision to achieve assigned goals.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and ability to prioritize is essential.
• Must demonstrate a good knowledge of the cyber threat landscape, geopolitical landscape, security vulnerabilities, exploits, malware, digital forensics, network security vulnerabilities, exploits and attacks.
• Must demonstrate good knowledge of tactics, techniques, and procedures associated with malicious threat actor activity including ransomware, organized crime, fraud groups, and nation state threat actors; knowledge in MITRE Framework is a bonus.
• Experience in communicating and summarizing cyber threats to senior bank executives both verbally and in writing.
• Proven ability to navigate and work effectively across a complex, geographically dispersed organization.
Skills that will help:
• Bachelor's degree in technology or related discipline.
• Experience in a previous Cyber Threat Intelligence role or similar cyber operational response experience is preferrable.
• Experience in collecting, analyzing, and actioning Threat Intelligence
• Technical experience performing OSINT investigations including dark/deep web investigations.
• Experience with multiple social media and communication platforms and tools used to monitor those platforms.
• Knowledge and experience of working with threat intelligence vendors and platforms.
