This job is responsible for providing leadership, technical direction and oversight to a team delivering technology solutions. Key responsibilities of the job are to provide oversight of the design, implementation, and maintenance of complex computer programs, align technical solutions to business objectives, and ensure that coding practices/quality comply with software development standards. Job expectations include conducting multiple software implementations and applying both depth and breadth in knowledge of several technical competencies.

Position Summary

  • Responsible for developing and delivering complex requirements to accomplish business goals. Key responsibilities of the role include
  • ensuring that software is developed to meet functional, non-functional, and compliance requirements.
  • Responsible for writing code, unit testing, and ensures the solution can be integrated successfully into the overall application/system with clear, robust and well-tested interfaces.
  • Contribute to story refinement/defining requirements.
  • Participate and guide team in estimating work necessary to realize a story/requirement through the delivery lifecycle.
  • Perform spike/proof of concept as necessary to mitigate risk or implement new ideas.
  • Code solutions and unit test to deliver a requirement/story per the defined acceptance criteria and compliance requirements.
  • Utilize multiple architectural components (across data, application, business) in design and development of client requirements
  • Assist team with resolving technical complexities involved in realizing story work.
  • Contribute to existing test suites (integration, regression, performance),analyze test reports, identify any test issues/errors, and triage the underlying cause.
  • Document and communicate required information for deployment, maintenance, support, and business functionality.
  • Participate, contribute and can coach team members in the delivery/release (CI-CD) events. e.g. branching timelines, pull requests, issue triage, merge/conflict resolution, release notes

Responsibilities:

  • Designs, develops and is accountable for feature delivery
  • Applies enterprise standards for solution design, coding and quality
  • Ensures solution meets product acceptance criteria with minimal technical debt
  • Guides the team on work breakdown and execution
  • Works with the Product Owner to ensure that product backlog/requirements are healthy, with clear acceptance criteria
  • Plays a team lead role (as an individual contributor) and mentors the team
  • Guides team members with skills and practices (planning and estimation, peer reviews, and other engineering practices)

Required Qualifications

  • Extensive experience developing solutions using Web Method and REST Service
  • 7+ year experience in Web Method development
  • Strong understanding of Design Patterns and design thinking. Able to apply while developing technical solutions
  • Hand on experience with SOAP and REST Web Services and related technologies (JAX-WS, JAX-RS, XML Technologies).
  • Web Services Design and development experience as a service provider.
  • Strong communication/interpersonal skills both written and verbal and the ability to quickly form meaningful working partnerships.
  • Works well under pressure. Manage multiple priorities, be proactive, and deliver quality results under aggressive deadlines.
  • Self-starter, good aptitude, Problem Solver and someone who is open to learning new technologies and comes with strong analytical

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience with Agile development and tool set like Jira and Jenkins Experience with Integration and messaging technologies like Kafka, Spring Boot and Web Sphere.
