Job Description:
The Risk Process Analyst is responsible for supporting the development and execution of capabilities that include models, analytical tools, and tests used for risk management. Key responsibilities include obtaining an understanding of Bank-wide processes, including their risks, underlying data, and process steps, and using that knowledge to build capabilities for the Front Line Units/Control Functions to better manage their risk and operational effectiveness. This role supports other risk analysts and managers to complete a set of task aligned to risk and data management.
Global Risk Analytics (GRA) and Enterprise Independent Testing (EIT) are sub-lines of business within Global Risk Management (GRM). Collectively, they are responsible for developing a consistent and coherent set of models, analytical tools, and tests for effective risk and capital measurement, management and reporting across Bank of America. GRA and EIT partner with the Lines of Business and Enterprise functions to ensure the capabilities it builds address both internal and regulatory requirements, and are responsive to the changing nature of portfolios, economic conditions, and emerging risks. In executing its activities, GRA and EIT drive innovation, process improvement and automation.
The EIT Data Connections Team works closely with Sample and Test Development, Test Owners and FLU Data Contacts to understand the objective of test and data requirements. Discussions are facilitated between the Application Managers and EIT Technology teams to identify the best source of data and establish systematic connections to enable test automation.
Role Overview:
The Data Connections Subject Matter Expert (SME) is responsible for establishing deep knowledge of data sources and business process to support the development of automated testing that provides timely, useful, and actionable independent insight on the operational health of Bank of America's processes.
As a Data Connections SME, main responsibilities include:
- Collaborating with key stakeholders to understand data needs and review test scripts and/or SQL code to understand the data required for automation.
- Comprehend data sources, data structure, flows and controls by participating in discussions between Application Managers and EIT Technology Teams.
- Strive for operational excellence and become an effective advocate of process improvement opportunities to support the adoption of new applications.
- Contribute in Data Quality and Data Automation projects and initiatives that impact cross-functional teams.
- Ensure adherence to SLA's and Metrics associated with productivity, turn-around time, accuracy and process control.
