Job Description

Opportunity to join the Global Markets Credit (GMC) organization, responsible for credit underwriting, ongoing monitoring and portfolio management of Global Markets financing and traded products transactions.

As a part of the Enterprise Credit Administration (ECA) team a Front Line Unit (FLU) a part of Global Markets (GM) supporting Enterprise Credit, Credit Risk underwriters you will be responsible for supporting Credit Officers on a daily basis in the management of their portfolios, incuding the review of global credit facilities. Supporting the end-to-end process, credit underwriting, ongoing monitoring and portfolio management of financing, treasury management, and traded products transactions.

You will be handling complex opportunities and taking a leadership role in supporting client needs and leading/participating in special projects. Helping simplify and improve our processes, identifying and leading on opportunities to improve operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Ownership and autonomy over a portfolio of clients from a credit administration perspective
  • Manage onboarding of new fund manager relationships and new funds to assist in the credit approval process
  • Coordinate pre and post-closing activities which may include due diligence activities, creation of credit approval documents for new, renewed and amended trading, loan and Global Transaction Services (GTS) facilities, the processing of these through the bank systems of record, and interaction with operations
  • Responsible for monitoring requirements by creating/clearing monitoring ticklers and sourcing required financial statements and other documents per the terms of the credit agreement or other documentation
  • Maintain accurate document records
  • Review approved credit approval documents to ensure compliance with bank policy and procedures
  • Respond to enquiries from Credit Officers and other business partners. Investigate and resolve incoming queries relating to the portfolio
  • Identify and resolve data quality issues and discrepancies
  • Ownership of key metric deliverables related to credit facilities and data quality
  • Produce ad-hoc and prescribed reporting
  • Use Tableau dashboard to proactively manage adherence to key metrics
  • Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency
  • Providing coaching to junior associates on the team when dealing with day-to-day support activities

What we are looking for

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent and/or track record of relevant experience
  • Institutional banking experience and sound product/technical and process knowledge of trading or lending products is preferred
  • Credit risk experience, able to quickly absorb and follow credit policies and procedures; demonstrated ability to continuously learn, understand processes, systems and products and learn and adapt to a changing environment and responsibilities with a proactive work ethic.
  • Familiarity with legal documentation (ISDA/CSA, GMRA, GMSLA, F&O) and loan documentation is preferred
  • Effective communication style, both written and verbal across various lines of business and levels, ability to be concise and with attention to accuracy and detail and influence business partners and stakeholders
  • Organisational skills with an ability to work under pressure, responsible to deliver and proficient in managing multiple priorities.
  • Effective interpersonal skills, able to work as a part of a team with a proactive attitude and ability to think independently and laterally
  • Technical skills and systems orientated, proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Prior experience in a team lead position capacity advantageous
  • Can independently analyse complex issues, identify and execute practical solutions. Proactively share information/ideas and consistently identifies best practices
