Job Description:
This job is responsible for ensuring operational data is fit for purpose, defining controls, and monitoring processes are in adherence to enterprise data management standards. Key responsibilities include triaging and remediating data incidents, performing data analysis, training new users, and performing impact analysis stemming from data updates. Job expectations include helping in defining access and ownership of data by domain, conducting quality control, and overseeing data maintenance.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensures data is accurate, complete, and fit for performing data analyses through various testing procedures and data controls which help to identify business insights fit for purpose for a particular product set
  • Develops and executes on Enterprise Data Management policies and standards, works across teams to ensure adherence, serves as a key point of contact for all topics related to data compliance, and manages operational elements of the (Enterprise Data Strategy Governance and Operations (EDSGO) relationship
  • Manages data related incidents and identifies, communicates, and resolves or escalates issues as needed. Data inquiries include questions related to data issues, availability of data, and potential sourcing alternatives to inform
  • Develops, manages, and executes on controls, ensuring tracking, monitoring, and resolution of any control breaches with data platform
  • Partners with Business and Technology functions to drive the development of business and functional requirements documents and ensures strategic upstream resolution for data related incidents

The Team:

The CFO Data Management organization serves as the gatekeeper for data used across CFO in support of regulatory and management reporting needs. The Domain Management role supports the CFO Data Management Data Governance function, responsible for delivering services which are essential to the organization's business processes through management of Enterprise policy/standards/regulatory adherence. The team is responsible for managing risk by ensuring adherence to relevant data policies/standards/regulations, developing/improving processes performed by the organization and collecting and validating key metrics used in reporting for key stakeholders that represent health of the organization.

Specific Responsibilities (to this opening):

  • Serve as a subject matter expert by building deep knowledge of how data is organized across the company and internal to the CFO organization
  • Solve complex data-related problems using a variety of technical and analytical skills
  • Provide solution-oriented thought leadership to drive delivery of various policy requirements
  • Monitor data lineage capability and tooling in partnership with technology partners to ensure accurate, complete and timely data lineage for CFO
  • Oversee and maintain CFO data catalogs, ensuring accuracy and completeness through ongoing review and challenge
  • Manage expectations and relationships with broader Enterprise stakeholders as well as internal CFO line-of-business stakeholders

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years experience in a Finance, data, or business analyst role, and associated subject matter expertise
  • Skilled at interpreting complex information in terms your audience can comprehend, whether you are communicating with SMEs or providing distilled easy-to-understand headlines internally
  • Known for developing and improving processes and routines while ensuring compliance via horizontal and vertical influence and engagement.
  • Knowledge and experience at a global financial institution(s) (involvement in Compliance or Risk Management preferred) or regulatory background
  • Solution driven, confident, highly motivated, and able to work independently
  • Known for your ability to interact on a daily basis with all levels of the organization, reviewing and gaining feedback on organizational metrics

  • Familiarity programming with SQL
