Job Description
This position manages a Corporate and Commercial credit servicing loan portfolio in a consultative manner focusing on the execution and onboarding of complex loan structuring arrangements and resolution of problems. A Consultant requires a high degree of skill, sensitivity, and general business acumen in managing client and business partner relationships. The successful candidate has ability to exercise discretion and professional judgment in determining appropriate loan structuring having significant client, regulatory, and reputation implications and risk. This position works in close association with members of the deal team to create value added loan servicing and to ensure client satisfaction. The successful applicant participates in the resolution of escalated servicing issues and operational problems, leveraging resources across other functional areas (i.e. Credit Risk, Agency Management, Operations, Monitoring & Compliance, Finance, Compliance and Legal) to ensure an integrated approach to loan servicing. The successful applicant has an understanding of credit-related products and experience with credit documentation. Additionally, this position will offer subject matter expertise, participate in key committee assignments, audits, and ongoing test of controls for system of record data integrity, and provide leadership/guidance in support of credit servicing.
Responsibilities
- Support loan servicing requirements for a global and regional Corporate, Commercial, Asset Based Lending and Special Assets credit portfolio in diverse industries, acting in agency, participant, and sole lender roles
- Support processing credit facility transactions into workflow tools and the system of record with quality control validations and adherence to policies, procedures, control reporting routines and control metric thresholds
- Review and adhere to credit approvals, legal credit agreements, corporate documents and policies and procedures to timely onboard, update and maintain credit facilities with accurate data integrity in the system of record
- Support loan accounting entries and related calculations; commitment, loan, interest, and fee records; intra-day wire account reconciliation; credit reporting
- Review and adhere to credit portfolio legal documentation and act in a consultative manner on standard servicing requirements
- Support in-line quality assurance/test of control reviews and adherence to process risk control standards
- Acts as subject matter expert on regional and global projects, initiatives, audits requirements and overall unit coverage
- Monitor/Support/Supervise administrative duties, including control reporting and records filing
- Work flexibility, including overtime, weekends and statutory holidays
Qualifications
- University degree with preference to finance or math
- Corporate/Commercial banking experience
- Understanding of credit-related products, loan servicing, and experience with credit documentation
- Support collaborative efforts to advance tools and technology enhancements
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Attention to accurate detail and ability to follow/action instructions under pressure
- Ability to manage multiple tasks with willingness to work through issues adapting to competing priorities and sensitive deadlines
- Ability to work independently as well as in a leadership role in a team environment
- Strategic and creative thinking; distinguished written and verbal communications skills
- Strong leadership and work ethic with team focus

- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Loan IQ and GBS processing experience and knowledge of E ledger an asset
