Job Description:
Responsible for managing the asset based finance credit/portfolio management function within a major geographical region. Develops objectives and procedures and policies in accordance with corporate objectives. Ensures sustained earnings through a well structured loan portfolio.

The AB Senior Portfolio Manager is an experienced credit professional capable of independent activity on complex and sensitive transactions to include private equity sponsor transactions with I-Bank term loans; international transactions; large corporate, middle market and business banking transactions; related products and services; and work-outs. The AB Senior Portfolio Manager leads a team of Portfolio Managers, Credit Officers, Portfolio Management Officers and Analysts who partner with business development officers, relationship managers, underwriters and/or product specialists and are responsible for structing, analyzing, underwriting, negotiating, documenting, closing and monitoring ABL and related transactions. The AB Senior Portfolio Manager and team interface directly with clients, financial sponsors and intermediaries (legal counsel, outside accountants, turnaround consultants, field examiners, etc.). This role is non-registered.

Required Qualifications:

  • 8+ years ABL Structuring and Underwriting experience.
  • Significant ABL industry knowledge required.
  • Deep knowledge and understanding of ABL loan documentation with ability to quickly review and analyze loan documents.
  • Must be able to establish and maintain collaborative partnerships.
  • Ability to work as a player/coach.
  • Ability to successfully mentor and train direct reports.
  • Demonstrates strong leadership abilities that fosters win-win solutions that build trust.
  • Demonstrates deep and broad business acumen - a strong ABL professional with extensive technical skills.
  • Easily navigates multiple client and support organizations.
  • Demonstrates sound judgment and acts with speed - able to achieve results quickly.
  • Ability to multi-task and work on numerous open transactions simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of International ABL parameters is desired.

Pay and benefits information

Pay range

$175,000.00 - $374,000.00 annualized salary, offers to be determined based on experience, education and skill set.

Discretionary incentive eligible

This role is eligible to participate in the annual discretionary plan. Employees are eligible for an annual discretionary award based on their overall individual performance results and behaviors, the performance and contributions of their line of business and/or group; and the overall success of the Company.
