Job Description:
The US Consumer Staples Equity research team covers the Packaged Food, Beverage, Personal Care/Household products and Tobacco companies. The team currently covers 42 listed issuers and more than $1trillion in market cap. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1 year of work experience preferably with prior finance/accounting experience, prior consumer products industry experience not required. This role work alongside their Senior Analyst and Junior Analysts in all aspects from covering stocks, idea generation to company meetings, and will play a critical part in providing the financial modeling and qualitative analysis for ECC meetings, sales teach-ins.
Responsibilities
- Perform complex financial modeling & valuation work
- Write regular industry and company reports and company launch initiations from scratch
- Supporting Senior Analyst on select companies
- Develop databases integral to our research product
- Demonstrate strong industry knowledge and business judgment
- Work with Senior Analysts to develop key industry themes
- Build relationships and facilitate information flow with contacts at covered companies
- Participate and contribute to client meetings and events
- Attend meetings and interact with key opinion leaders
- Closely follow and understand market, industry and company specific activity, and relay to analyst when traveling
- Seek out new, unusual sources of information
- Leverage our robust network of industry contacts
- Interact regularly with clients

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance or equivalent years of experience
- MUST have strong modeling skills
- Experience with Bloomberg and/or FactSet tools a distinct positive
- Strong writing and spreadsheet skills. Must be an expert at MS Word and MS Excel
- Along with Finance and Accounting, should have basic understanding of economics, macroeconomic factors, international affairs, and policy/politics
- Must have excellent communication skills, written and verbal
- Must have strong attention to detail, ability to multi-task
- Must work well in a collaborative team environment

Pay and benefits information
Pay range
$70,000.00 - $175,000.00 annualized salary, offers to be determined based on experience, education and skill set.
Discretionary incentive eligible
This role is eligible to participate in the annual discretionary plan.
