Process Overview

Capital Markets

The Capital Markets team at GBS in co-ordination with its global counterparts, participates in origination, structuring and closing of High Yield and High Grade Loans, Bonds Offerings, IPOs, Follow-ons etc. The Global Capital Markets business comprises our Debt Capital Markets (DCM), Equity Capital Markets (ECM) and Leveraged Finance (LevFin) businesses. The Global Capital Markets team helps companies and institutions access the debt and equity markets to raise capital to fund their business needs. The team specializes in advisory services as well as structuring and executing financing through a broad range of sophisticated equity and debt solutions.

Job Description

The candidate will have an opportunity to work on key deliverables in the DCM and ECM space and their Book of Work will be dynamically determined based on criticality and priority of tasks in the Debt and Equity domains. Analysts are encouraged to assume significant responsibility and support the day-to-day activities of the desk. Initial activities will include:

Responsibilities

  • Assisting in the origination and execution of equity and equity-linked transactions
  • Handle various facets of equity capital market assignments
  • Creating and maintaining weekly databases / marketing materials, market commentary
  • Creating and maintaining client advisory materials and wedges on Equity market interventions
  • Performing analysis of precedent transactions including structure, valuation, and price performance
  • Regular market condition updates for each industry vertical
  • Analyzing clients' shareholder bases
  • Assisting in investor targeting
  • Ad-hoc projects

Requirements

  • Education : Strong academic background - BE + MBA (Finance) or BE/Btech from IITs, Economics/Stats, graduate from top tier institute
  • Foundational Skills:
  • Experience Range- One year in financial industry, research and analytics
  • Basic understanding of financial terminologies and markets
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Excel, PowerPoint, Alteryx, Tableau etc.
  • Desired Skills: Experience with Bloomberg/Dealogic/Factset etc. preferred

10.30am to 7.30pm

Should be comfortable working on Weekends, public holidays, and long hours
