Responsibilities
This is a full-time equity research associate in Equity Research team for the semiconductor and tech sector based in Taiwan. The individual will work on a team with a Senior Analyst responsible for all aspects of the research process from idea generation to client communications, including but not limited to the following:
- Perform complex financial modeling & valuation work.
- Write regular industry and company reports and company initiations from scratch.
- Develop and maintain databases integral to our research product.
- Develop strong industry knowledge and business judgment.
- Work with Senior Analyst to explore key industry themes.
- Participate and contribute to client meetings and events.
- Follow and understand market, industry and company specific activity, and relay to analyst.
- Interact regularly with clients, both internal and external.
- Seek out new, value-added, and/or unusual sources of information.
Requirements
- Strong motivation to learn and succeed in the equity research industry
- Strong work ethics and a positive attitude at work
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize multiple work requests
- Strong modelling and database skills are essential.
- Good team player with strong communication skill and detail-oriented personality
- A solid understanding of equity research, valuation and financial markets, plus a proven track record of high-quality analytical research, written product and strong communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to write high quality, evidence-based projects or reports.
- Bachelor's or master's degrees in business related preferred
- More than 1-3 years working experience in a relevant analytical/financial markets role preferred.
- Fluency in spoken and written English is required
