Position Overview

We are looking for a Systems Integration Engineer to join our Collaboration Services team within Enterprise Systems & Experience at Autodesk. This role is ideal for someone passionate about automation, data integration, and optimizing enterprise IT systems. You will play a key role in streamlining workflows across tools like Airtable, Productboard, Smartsheet, and Jira, driving strategic initiatives to fruition. We are expanding our support team for the Collaboration Services organization, part of Enterprise Systems & Experience organization, to enhance the company's IT systems, applications, and processes. Our engineering culture will empower you to make effective decisions, work collaboratively, and take accountability for engineering projects at the core of the company.

The team is seeking an experienced Systems Integration Engineer to help guide this team in their journey towards becoming a world-class engineering team. This role will focus on automating and integrating applications within the Product, Program, Project, and Portfolio management space, driving initiatives from Strategic Intent to Strategic Realization. The ideal candidate will work with tools such as Airtable, Productboard, Smartsheet, and Jira ensuring seamless data flows and optimizing workflows to support enterprise-level project management initiatives.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities and Deliverables

  • Plan and execute data migrations between applications


  • Develop scripts to transform and resolve data incompatibilities between different applications


  • Leverage application APIs to extract usage and performance data


  • Implement solutions to automatically revoke unused licenses


  • Design intuitive self-service portals for users to reassign revoked licenses effortlessly


  • Build interfaces for self-service license requests with integrated approval workflows via ITIL applications


  • Develop automation solutions to facilitate seamless data exchanges between SaaS platforms

Skills and Work Traits

  • Proficient in programming and scripting with Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, SQL, Bash/PowerShell


  • Knowledge of RESTful APIs, OAuth authentication, and webhooks for automation and data integration


  • Proficient in transforming and handling data in multiple formats, including JSON, XML, and CSV


  • Working knowledge of any cloud platforms (AWS / Azure) Strong analytical abilities with experience in data visualization tools like Power BI/Tableau


  • Managing end-to-end deployment processes, ensuring successful implementation and configuration


  • Providing technical support and troubleshooting for integration-related issues


  • Monitoring system performance and proactively addressing potential issues


  • Collaborating with stakeholders to understand evolving business needs and adapt integrations accordingly


  • Creating and maintaining comprehensive documentation for deployed solutions


  • Training end-users and providing guidance on best practices for utilizing the integrated systems


  • Ensuring compliance with security and governance policies across all integrated platforms


  • Familiar with collaboration tools such as Confluence and Jira for documentation


  • Understanding of compliance requirements, including GDPR


  • Excellent communication skills to convey technical concepts to diverse audiences


  • Comfortable working in a collaborative, cross-functional team environment

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related quantitative field


  • 5+ years of experience developing, integrating, and supporting applications in an enterprise setting


  • Proven expertise in integrating Airtable, Productboard, Smartsheet, and Jira


  • Background in automating workflows and developing self-service solutions


  • Experience with API-driven solutions and data migration strategies

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in managing cloud-based collaboration tools such as Microsoft Teams and SharePoint


  • Knowledge of scripting languages such as JavaScript and PowerShell to enhance Airtable automation


  • Experience with data migration projects involving platforms like Smartsheet and Trello


  • Understanding of ITSM principles and methodologies.


  • knowledge of automation platforms like Zapier and Workato

Salary transparency

Salary is one part of Autodesk's competitive compensation package. For U.S.-based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $97,600 and $168,300. Offers are based on the candidate's experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range. In addition to base salaries, we also have a significant emphasis on annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
