Autodesk has an exciting opportunity within our Named Accounts Technical Sales Organization, focused on Autodesk's AEC and Civil Engineering solutions.
We are seeking a Solutions Engineer (AEC Infrastructure) who is a team player dedicated to helping our Named Account Customers scope and define solutions for their infrastructure projects. Our mission is to work directly with customers to understand their engineering and business requirements as they relate to infrastructure design and construction. Based on that understanding, you will define an overall approach using Autodesk products. In this role, you'll showcase your industry and software workflow expertise by partnering with a diverse range of customers. You will ask questions, demonstrate empathy, and communicate effectively, translating customer problems into solutions that meet their needs and drive our growth.

You will report to the Senior Manager of Technical Sales for Named Accounts in the Americas. This is a fully remote position, and you will work from a home office within the USA.
Responsibilities:
- Discover customer needs and provide Autodesk solution advice to address them
- Deliver technical product demonstrations and presentations at customer-facing events, meetings, and webinars
- Provide feedback to Product teams to improve Autodesk solutions
- Develop technical content for use in pre-sales activities and sales automation
- Promote Autodesk solutions and build an industry profile as a recognized technical expert
- Collaborate with a diverse range of professionals across the Named Accounts sales and account teams, including account executives, technical solutions executives, strategic industry executives, customer success managers, consulting, and technical account specialists
- Engage directly with customers, from site operatives to the C-suite, via workshops, RFI/RFP responses, scoping pilots, on-site visits, and more
- Propose ways to improve workflows or solve customer problems, connecting the solutions to customer needs and highlighting the value provided
- Support strategic engagements within Autodesk to promote and grow our relationships

Minimum Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience influencing and delivering projects in the infrastructure design and construction sectors (specifically transportation - bridges, roads, highways and tunnels
- Rail and water distribution experience would be helpful
- Technical knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D, Collaboration for Civil, Infraworks, AutoCAD, and Autodesk Construction Cloud is beneficial. Knowledge of Innovyze and how it fits into Civil Engineering workflows would also be helpful
- Knowledge of Building Information Modelling concepts and Infrastructure Design workflows
- An understanding of the workflows needed to bridge the gap between infrastructure design and construction
- Ability to travel approximately 50% of your time, primarily in AMER, with some international travel
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience delivering a civil engineering project using primarily Autodesk products and workflows
- Knowledge of Revit and Innovyze usage and/or workflows
- Effective communication, presentation, and group facilitation skills
- Experience or interest in a technical sales-supporting function (e.g., pre-sales)
- Ability to manage and influence through persuasion, negotiation, and consensus-building
- Network builder, comfortable with building meaningful relationships
- Ability to work remotely without supervision and manage multiple priorities

Salary transparency
Salary is one part of Autodesk's competitive compensation package. For U.S.-based sales roles, we expect a starting On-Target Earnings (OTE) between $152,400 and $220,550. OTE is comprised of base salary plus commission target for sales roles. Offers are based on the candidate's experience and geographic location and may exceed this range. In addition to base salaries and/or OTE for sales roles, we also have a significant emphasis on annual cash bonuses, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
