Position Overview
The Territory Solutions Engineer (SE) will be responsible for leading all technical aspects of an Autodesk sales campaign by supporting the partners and Internal Sales teams with direct engagement with end users. The Territory Solutions Engineer (SE) uses in-depth industry and software knowledge to uncover customer business issues and suggest improvements, thus earning status as a trusted advisor to the customer. He/ She will partner with multiple internal sales teams, technical solutions executives (TechSE) and Autodesk Authorized Partners teams to provide pre-sales technical assistance.
Responsibilities
- SE should be able to communicate and connect customer business objectives with Autodesk Technology Offerings to Deliver Value Messaging Effectively
- Facilitates discovery workshops of varying sizes with our customers to help uncover business issues/drivers/initiatives and uses this information to connect Autodesk solutions to business outcome value
- Communicates product/workflow features and benefits in pre-sales situations. Present Autodesk products to prospective customers through presentations. Presentations will be delivered through web-delivery mechanisms
- SE should be able to ensure that datasets and related scripts are prepared correctly according to local region requirements
- Supports local user group meetings. SE will become proactive in local, state and national industry-related user groups. Interaction should include presentations, panel discussions and specific product demonstrations. SE will assist in educating the user groups to publicize the Autodesk message
- SE will work with other internal Autodesk departments like BSM, Technical Marketing Manager or Product Teams etc to further help communicate requirements for the local region
- Help build strategic relationships with accounts and should ultimately assist in future sales
- Product / Workflow Evangelist. SE will become an expert in spreading the product message. They will convey a positive message to accounts and individuals who are looking for a solution but may not know which product will fit their needs the best. SE will also attempt to find a fit for their products in new environments. SE will enthusiastically assist customers to make the best decisions on the Autodesk solution that will meet their needs
- Collaborate with a broader team of TechSE/SE members from across the APAC region

Minimum Qualifications
- Degree or equivalent qualified
- At least 5+ years of relevant industry experience in Architecture/Structural/MEP Design
- Excellent English communication and presentation skills
- Industry experience in Australian/New Zealand Projects is desirable
- Technical knowledge of using one or more of the following Revit, Advance Steel, Plant3D or Navisworks
- Must have strong experience with leading building design software (i.e. Revit, Advance Steel, Plant3D or Navisworks). Knowledge of any Building performance analysis software is desirable
- Knowledge of Autodesk Cloud solutions is desirable
- Good understanding of BIM-based workflows
- Must be willing to become an expert in the use of Revit, Advance Steel, Plant3D and Navisworks
- Willingness to maintain a comprehensive, in-depth knowledge of the current technologies of her/his domain and insight into the industry's best practices, business processes, and offerings
- Demonstrated ability to work in a team of technical personnel, marketing/salespeople, and project managers
- Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines
- Demonstrated initiative and ability to drive decisions and get closure on recommendations and issues
- Excellent group facilitation skills
- Able to work the approximate Australian Time zone
- Previous experience in technical sales is desirable however we are willing to consider individuals from a non-sales background
- Energetic, dynamic and enthusiastic personality, i.e. willing to engage with all levels
