Position Overview
As a Senior Video Editor on the Media Productions team at Autodesk, you will work closely with the team and our clients to ensure proper execution of video production projects from ideation through final delivery.
The Media Productions team is seeking a Sr Video Editor with an accomplished background in the post-production process to turn beautifully captured content into stories that support the needs of our internal on-demand and live project requests.
In this role, you will report to the Sr Manager of Media Productions, based in the greater Bay Area. The team provides technology and media production support that delivers compelling and engaging content to all divisions across the enterprise with the goal of maximizing visibility, engagement and impact.

Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with internal clients and external partners to help create various production projects and assets
- Lead and manage multiple video editing projects from concept to delivery
- Craft engaging narratives by cutting footage, adding transitions, sound effects, music, and visual effects to create a polished final product
- Utilize advanced editing features like color grading, motion graphics, and animation to enhance video quality and storytelling
- Work closely with producers, directors, creative teams, clients and other stakeholders to understand project vision and translate it into compelling video content
- Ensure all video edits meet high standards for visual consistency, audio quality, and adherence to brand guidelines
- Train and guide junior staff on technical skills and creative approaches to editing
- Stay updated on the latest video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects), formats, and industry trends
- Utilize analytics to understand video performance and optimize future content strategies
- Maintain and organize Autodesk Media Production media assets on-premise and cloud. Media assets include, but not limited to, company brand templates used for video or live production and original content
Minimum Qualifications
- 8+ years of hands-on experience with developing web-based video content
- Expert level proficiency in video editing and motion graphics software (Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects)
- Strong understanding of storytelling principles and visual composition
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams
- Attention to detail and ability to maintain consistency across projects
- Knowledge of audio editing techniques and sound design
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines

Salary transparency
Salary is one part of Autodesk's competitive compensation package. For U.S.-based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $122,400 and $198,000. Offers are based on the candidate's experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range. In addition to base salaries, we also have a significant emphasis on annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
