We are growing our Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) team in Croatia. We are seeking a self-driven individual with a proactive attitude, a strong sense of ownership, commitment, and agency, who thrives in a changing environment and demonstrates a sense of urgency. We are looking for a Senior Software Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer to join our team. This team develops, maintains, and supports components of the Autodesk Fusion platform, with a current focus on Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) solutions and services, including Fusion Manage and Manage Extension for Fusion. As a Senior Software QA Engineer, you will lead in defining and executing the validation strategy of software deliverables for the scrum team. You will also drive improvements in software quality processes, including the stability and reliability of web and cloud-based software.

Responsibilities

  • Translate user story and feature-level requirements to test plans and test cases.
  • Execute manual testing of implemented user stories on time, ensuring high-quality standards that meet acceptance criteria, in the context of 2-week sprints.
  • Plan and execute end-to-end manual workflow tests, helping the scrum team deliver quality software that meets customer needs, including troubleshooting and debugging developed features.
  • Drive an increase in automation test coverage, including the automation of manual test cases.
  • Conduct various tests, including functional, performance, load, and exploratory.
  • Drive the evaluation of risk, quality, and stability of software produced by the assigned scrum team, and make propositions that reduce quality risks in delivery.
  • Work closely with Release Management to ensure quality gates are met and software deliverables can move through the software lifecycle, ensuring the stability of environments.
  • Promote and/or define best quality practices in the scrum team.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience as a Software Quality Assurance Engineer.
  • Demonstrated experience in defining and executing validation strategies for complex software products based on web and cloud technology.
  • Familiarity with one or more test automation methodologies and/or frameworks like BDD, Cucumber, Selenium, JBehave, Rest Assured, Karate, Cypress, Playwright, etc.
  • Understanding of basic programming language concepts, including variables, data types, control structures, functions, and object-oriented programming principles
  • Familiarity with programming languages such as JavaScript, Java or TypeScript.
  • Demonstrated experience with testing backend applications and web applications, including API testing (REST API and/or GQL API).
  • Familiarity with tools for performance testing of REST APIs such as JMeter, BlazeMeter, K6, etc.
  • Strong understanding of Agile software development processes (Scrum framework, Kanban, etc.) and QA methodologies.
  • Experience with tracking tools and test case management tools for complex software like Jira, Confluence, Xray, or similar.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with version control systems, especially Git/Github.
  • Exposure to quick scripting in Postman to test REST APIs.
  • Exposure to CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Spinnaker, etc.
  • Exposure to testing cloud infrastructure based on AWS.
