Position Overview

Join one of the Software Engineering Scrum teams in the Civil Infrastructure Product Line Group at Autodesk. Our team develops Civil Engineering software such as Autodesk Civil 3D, Autodesk InfraWorks, and Autodesk Structural Bridge Design. These tools assist Civil Engineers in their modeling, design, and analysis processes.

We are seeking an individual who is passionate about crafting high-quality strategies with the aim of detecting defects during the software development process and ensuring the delivery of quality products. Emphasis on quality assurance is placed on functionality, usability, stability, capacity, and performance. The products we develop may encompass a combination of desktop applications, web clients, and cloud services.

Reporting to an Engineering Manager, you will be part of a distributed cross-functional team focused on developing and maintaining software for various products and components. This role presents a unique set of challenges, providing you with the opportunity to learn modern technology and enhance your skills.

At Autodesk, we operate under a hybrid working model from our Krakow office location.

Responsibilities

  • Support both manual and automated testing processes.
  • Analyze and decompose complex software workflows, and formulate thorough and concise test strategies.
  • Develop and execute high-quality test plans to deliver an exceptional user experience.
  • Perform functional testing, regression testing, ongoing system integration, and periodic build verification tests as part of each product release cycle.
  • Identify defects in features under development or in products already in production. Isolate, confirm, and log these defects, then collaborate with the team to prioritize and rectify them.
  • Actively participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, backlog grooming, sprint retrospectives, and more.
  • Ensure the quality of engineering calculations and their compliance with design codes.
  • Collaborate with the team to improving Quality Assurance processes, and act as an ambassador for quality.
  • Identify redundant tests scenarios and work towards their automation.
  • Ensure documentation aligns with software processes.

Minimum Qualifications

  • BS or higher Degree in Computer Science, Civil Engineering, or related fields.
  • A passion to improve product quality.
  • A customer-orientated approach to Quality Assurance.
  • 5+ years' experience in Testing development.
  • Solid English language skills.

Preferred Qualification

  • Work experience or educational background in AEC industry (Civil or Structural is a plus).
  • Experience with Git or similar source code revision control systems.
  • Understanding of deployment methodology.
  • Knowledge of DevOps, CI/CD pipeline and Test Automation.
  • Experience in large-scale desktop software testing is a plus.
