We are looking for a Senior Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer to join our Pune workplace team, and contribute to our mission of driving developer productivity, cross-platform device independence, and software platform consistency. You will work closely with software developers and other QA engineers, taking an active role in ensuring that our solutions meet the highest quality standards.
This role involves developing and executing test plans, reporting defects, running regression automation scripts, and analyzing failures. As a highly motivated and creative software test engineer, you will thrive in an agile team environment and play a crucial role in Autodesk's success.
Responsibilities
- Ensure that testing activities align with business requirements, system goals, and end-user expectations while identifying and resolving potential issues
- Establish and maintain QA processes to deliver high-quality software
- Develop comprehensive software test plans, covering UI, functionality, performance, and workflow testing
- Execute test designs, identify and prioritize defects, and ensure effective bug tracking
- Participate in Scrum ceremonies, contributing to requirement gathering, test planning, execution, and progress reporting
- Support customers by addressing training issues and identifying defects
- Collaborate with experienced engineers to adopt best practices in software development
- Adapt quickly to changing project requirements and manage multiple tasks effectively
- Take ownership of assigned tasks, proactively identifying and implementing improvements
- Assist in creating and maintaining QA documentation
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in Software QA
- Strong problem-solving skills with expertise in identifying, analyzing, and resolving software issues
- Experience in defect reporting and management
- Detail-oriented with strong logical thinking skills
- Hands-on experience with Agile development processes and the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
- Strong knowledge of software testing principles and industry best practices
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with AutoCAD, Fusion 360, or other CAD software
- Experience with QA Automation tools
- Knowledge of Python and JavaScript for test automation
- Proficiency in Jira, Confluence, Jenkins, and GitHub
- Passion for emerging technologies and their timely adoption
- Experience managing complex projects and collaborating with software development teams
