Position Overview
The Observability Services team in the ECEE organization at Autodesk provides visibility into the performance of critical applications and infrastructure. We are seeking an experienced engineer to join our Logging Services team, focusing on automating application onboarding to observability systems, alert creation, and configuration using tools like Splunk, Cribl, and AWS.
Key Responsibilities
- Automation: Automate log onboarding into services like Splunk, S3, and Azure using Cribl Stream. Automate alert creation and integrate with self-service tools and UCP.
- Scalability and Availability: Ensure high availability of Splunk and Cribl Stream logging systems.
- DevOps: Implement Observability as Code and enhance operational efficiency through CI/CD.
- Development: Build monitoring, alerting, and self-service solutions on AWS and create data pipelines using SQL/NoSQL, Python, and AWS Lambda.
- Collaboration: Work with stakeholders to expand observability platforms and improve coverage.
- Dashboards: Develop dashboards in Grafana and Splunk for enhanced visibility.

Minimum Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's in Computer Science or a related field.
- Experience: 5+ years in Software Engineering or DevOps on cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP); 3+ years in programming (Python, Java, .NET).
- Skills:
- Strong knowledge of logging systems, time series databases, and metrics.
- Familiarity with CI/CD, automation, and visualization tools like Grafana.
- Communication: Strong written and verbal skills for collaboration across teams.
