This position will require the Sr. Project Accountant to work with Autodesk Consulting Project Managers on the financial tracking of consulting projects. This role is seen as a strategic partner within Consulting to manage projects in terms of booking, billing, and revenue. The Sr. Project Accountant will work with both the GEO Delivery Lead and the WW Project Accounting Director to provide updates on project status, revenue recognition against forecast, and to manage key projects within the Project Accounting team for the EMEA region.
Activities include approving projects in PSA project tracking system, setting up projects in SAP, meeting with Project Managers to determine project status, ensuring revenue is posted according to Revenue Accounting ASC606 guidelines, and managing revenue as compared to forecast. The Sr. Project Accountant will also work with the Project Accounting Operations team on quarterly disclosures and internal and external audit requests. Additional ad hoc projects as requested.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities
- Meet weekly/monthly with each assigned Project Managers to review projects, review forecasts, alert PM and Practice Lead to any risks to meeting forecast
- Manage Project Setups and Updates through our PSA system and SAP Accounting system
- Review revenue and reconcile against forecast
- Provide consistent updates to the Project Accounting Director in relation to revenue, risks, or non-standard agreements
- Formal Revenue Accounting Deal Review write-ups
- Manage key projects impacting the EMEA region
- Manage GL Account Reconciliations
Qualifications
- The ideal candidate should have 8+ experience working within finance
- SAP and Business Objects experience is preferred
- Strong Excel skills required
- Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting
- Prior experience in a high-tech organization with global reach preferred
- Ability to work on cross functional teams, as well as to work independently
- Attention to detail, accuracy, resourceful, analytical, and follow through skills
- Ability to complete projects/reports within established deadlines
- Must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Must be able to work in ever-changing environment and be self directed
