Position Overview
Autodesk Platform Service and Emerging Technology team is looking for talents to develop core component that to empower millions of customers to search for and access any of their Autodesk data from any desktop, web, and mobile products. It is about defining the next-gen universal data access experience across diversified data sources, and moreover making it highly reusable, highly extensible and OS agnostic to easy integrate with Autodesk flagship products and 3rd party eco-systems.

The position provides the opportunity to participate in core engineering including technology evaluation, prototyping, architecture design, web UI component, data system, platform & service engineering, and many more.
Responsibilities
- Work with the scrum team members to accomplish requirements from product manager and customers
- Demonstrate tech leadership in full engineering cycle including designing, prototyping, coding, validating, deployment, and troubleshooting
- Establish strong partnership with engineering teams worldwide, represent team in global communication with concise communication, strong commitment and win-win mindset
- Work with cross-organization architects to finalize technical solutions to achieve project goals
- Develop tools to boost work like automated testing, performance monitoring, resiliency analysis, etc
- Share and bring best practice into the team/product; promote best practice/achievement to engineering community
- Very advanced expert roles that provide advice relevant to their subject matter expertise to senior leaders
- Jobs at this level reflect sophisticated subject matter expertise and consultative capabilities
- Development of novel, highly innovative solutions is often required
- Recognized as experts within a discipline, and also apply working knowledge of the theories and concepts in other related disciplines
- Lead the resolution of complex problems within own discipline, often with the need to integrate cross-functional processes and outcomes
- Anticipate business challenges that could have significant impact on Autodesk's operational and financial success, and proactively develop solutions to address them
- Provide input to functional strategies related to own discipline
- Influence leaders within own function to adopt solutions, establish priorities, and allocate resources
- May lead teams or projects with broad visibility
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor in Computer Engineering, Mathematics with 10+ years working experience or equivalent MS
- Rich experience in web technologies like JavaScript, TypeScript, React, REST APIs, QT etc
- Good knowledge about micro-services; familiar with AWS services or similar core services from other providers
- Comprehensive technical knowledge in software development methodologies, design, and implementation
- Strong architecture design capability
- Strong analytical capability and fast-learning ability
- Good communication and teamwork
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in React.js, QT/QML, C++ is a plus
- Experience in Component/SDK development is a plus
- Experience in cloud service at scale is a plus
- Experience in mobile app development is a plus
- Successfully completed one or more commercial software development cycles is a plus

Salary transparency
Salary is one part of Autodesk's competitive compensation package. For Canada-BC based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $153,600 and $211,200. Offers are based on the candidate's experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range. In addition to base salaries, we also have a significant emphasis on annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
