Position Overview

This is a full-time, individual contributor role reporting to the Technical Sales Manager. You will be based in Bangalore, India, and will require travel up to 50% of the time.

As a Technical Solutions Executive, you will collaborate with the Sales Executive to drive incremental annual recurring revenue (ARR) by translating customer challenges into technical solutions that provide outcomes.

Responsibilities

Develop Account Plans

  • Collaborate with Sales Executives to validate customer success plans and execute strategies for closing business and driving expansion
  • Coordinate with global account resources to ensure technical closure and alignment with sales strategies

Build Customer Relationships

  • Develop an in-depth understanding of customers' business processes, workflows, and technical requirements to build trusted advisor relationships
  • Stay current with technology trends and AEC domain workflows, positioning the value of Autodesk solutions for new and existing customers

Lead Technical Discovery and Value Engineering

  • Guide technical discovery, help formulate requirements, scope documents, and assessments for sales opportunities
  • Lead Value Engineering workshops to uncover business issues, drivers, and initiatives, aligning Autodesk solutions to deliver outcomes

Secure Customer Closure

  • Work closely with key customer stakeholders to secure business and technical closure for proposed solutions
  • Manage technical evaluations, product demos, and pilot projects while ensuring the feasibility, correctness, and completeness of proposed solutions

Collaborate with Internal Teams

  • Develop trusted working relationships with the sales team and other internal resources, overseeing them to ensure alignment with account objectives and customer satisfaction
  • Use a Sales CRM to manage the sales pipeline, record prospect information, and manage ongoing customer relationships

Minimum Qualifications

  • Education: A degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field from a reputed institution
  • Experience: 10+ years in the AEC industry with expertise in Autodesk solutions like Revit, Civil3D, and Autodesk Construction Cloud
  • BIM & Industry Workflows: Experience in BIM and associated workflows
  • Sales Experience: Experience in customer-facing presales/Technical Sales roles will be an advantage

  • Ability to work independently with minimal guidance, often mentoring or acting as a resource for colleagues with less experience
  • Demonstrates expertise as a seasoned, journey-level professional, with the capability to solve a wide range of issues creatively
  • Works on problems requiring evaluation of identifiable factors and applies good judgment when selecting methods for solutions
  • Responsible for selling the company's products, developing new accounts, and expanding existing ones
  • Receives little direction on routine work and broad guidance on new assignments
