Position Overview

Autodesk is a world leader in the future of making things, and our Fusion product team is at the forefront of integrated software environments that enable customers to design, develop, test, visualise, and manufacture products using cutting-edge technology.

We are looking for someone with hands-on domain expertise in CAD and Manufacturing, a strong grasp of software testing strategies and execution, and experience with web and/or mobile applications as a plus.

You will work within a Scrum team, driving a progressive QA (Quality Assurance) strategy for Autodesk Fusion's CAD capabilities and ensuring that the Customer Experience remains a top priority throughout the software development lifecycle.

Responsibilities

Quality Assurance and Test Strategy

  • Develop and implement test planning to enhance the customer experience
  • Define and provide direction on best testing methods for Cloud-based applications
  • Establish and drive automated testing processes
  • Develop and execute test strategies that offer the highest return on investment (ROI)
  • Ensure horizontal testing aligns across different product areas to deliver a seamless user experience

Technical Leadership

  • Lead by example and mentor team members
  • Assist in defining and implementing instrumentation for usage and engineering analytics
  • Partner with team members to develop essential skills needed to achieve outlined strategies
  • Define, implement, and ensure adherence to QA processes
  • Actively engage in customer-reported technical issues and drive them to resolution
  • Advocate for team-wide ownership of quality and promote a collaborative quality culture
  • Develop an automation strategy and promote design for testability and code coverage

Project Oversight and Collaboration

  • Assist the Scrum team in project estimation
  • Act as a liaison to provide visibility into quality status and risks
  • Identify and communicate potential impediments to project progress
  • Stay accountable for project deliverables and deadlines
  • Foster strong cross-functional collaboration across teams

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Mechanical Engineering, or Manufacturing Engineering
  • 3 to 7 years of experience in CAD or industrial design
  • Strong mathematical and physics proficiency
  • Experience in CAD Engineering (CAM, Electronics, and Simulation experience is a plus)
  • Working knowledge of CAD data models such as solid and surface modelling
  • Understanding of geometry, parametric relationships, and assembly techniques
  • Experience working in full software development lifecycles (from User Experience Design to production)
  • Hands-on experience with large-scale software deployments
  • Ability to define and implement scalable test methodologies
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and working in a Scrum team (JIRA preferred)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub, etc
  • Prior experience with test automation frameworks such as Selenium
  • Knowledge of Java or another object-oriented programming language
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to troubleshoot complex software issues
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Self-motivated with a high level of accountability and problem-solving skills
