Position Overview
The Principal Design Program Manager will support the Design Operations team within the Architecture, Engineering & Construction (AEC) Solutions division, and report to the Chief of Staff & Director of Operations, AEC. This role involves leading and managing complex team operations and design programs, ensuring alignment with organizational goals, and driving the successful execution of projects. In this role you will work on a combination of team operations and special projects for a senior design leader accountable for the experience of multiple products within the AEC Solutions portfolio.
Offering a unique balance between autonomy and support, this position provides an opportunity to develop valuable organizational skills. You will work closely with design leaders representing different product teams, while having a team of Design Program Managers to lean on for practice excellence and support. The role is part of a supportive team environment that values collaboration, communication, and continuous improvement.

This role requires global lens and willingness to flex work hours for varying time zones globally (NAMER and EMEA predominantly).
Responsibilities
- Plan and organize team engagements to ensure leader's time is spent wisely. This includes organizing team meetings and communications to keep team members informed and engaged, effectively facilitating meetings, and establishing smart processes
- Support leadership team members and establish healthy, collaborative relationships. Maintain enthusiasm, energy, and focus in a variety of circumstances. Translate purpose and vision into clear goals for the team. Ensure every team member is on board and moving in the right direction
- Drive operations across the larger team to ensure alignment with the leader's priorities. Implement and improve procedures and processes to optimize team effectiveness
- Interface with various functional groups, program/project teams, and other stakeholders around the company to effectively resolve issues and remove barriers to team's success
- Establish and manage specific programs or projects as needed
- Prepare and distribute status reports and other communications to executive and functional management
- Enhance team efficiency and efficacy by aligning with other Design Program Managers and streamlining operations
Minimum Qualifications
- 8+ years of program management or related experience in a dynamic, cross-functional environment
- Ability to anticipate, understand and actively mitigate project risks
- Strong writing, reporting, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to travel as needed
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in a matrixed UX organization
- Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification
- Proficiency in Airtable, Miro, Microsoft Project, relevant AI tools
- Proficiency in Human Centered Design methods
